******Samantha's POV******
"Yo, Lucas!" I shouted, flopping onto my bed.
"WHAT?!" He yelled, annoyed.
"COME HERE!" I answered, grinning at the fact that I had annoyed him.
"OH MY GOD!" He groaned, stomping into the room.
"What?" He asked, a tired expression on his face.
I ran over to him, jumping and wrapping myself around his body. My legs were around his waist, arms around his neck.
He gripped my thighs, breathing in deeply. I had almost forgot that he was a vampire.
"What is this for?" He asked, moving one of his hands so he could rub my back.
"It's been, like, an hour since I hugged you and I wanted to change that."
My reply made me internally cringe at the truthfulness of it all, and the fact that I was clinging to a boy that I had met about a day or two ago.
I disgusted myself.
"You're a clingy little monster," he chuckled, pulling back so he could hold me at arms length.
He kissed me gently, smiling as I bit his lip ring.
"Now, Samantha, keep in mind that vampires have even less control than a usual 20 year old man before you go starting things you can't finish," he growled, shoving his face into my neck.
I gulped, continuing to run my fingers through his curly hair.
"Can I take a little?" He asked, breathing in my scent.
I was scared, rather, terrified, but I knew that he'd need some soon anyway.
"Please try to make it so it doesn't hurt."
He nodded, placing soft kisses on my throat. The sensation was more tingly than anything else, and I waited anxiously for the pain to erupt.
I gasped when he sunk his fangs into my flesh, the pain slowly hitting me. It wasn't as bad as the first time he had taken my blood, but it still wasn't exactly enjoyable.
I held onto his head, counting down the seconds until he'd hopefully be done.
He yanked himself away from me, wiping his mouth. His eyes were a crimson red, and I looked into them, slightly frightened.
My neck was beginning to feel irritated, the warm air casting over the bites. It wasn't pleasurable.
"I'm sorry, babe," he breathed, kissing the places he had bitten into.
"It's okay," I whispered, tilting my head up so he could make the bites feel better.
He bit into his wrist, holding it out to me.
"What?" I asked, eyeing his bleeding wrist warily.
"Drink it," he said, shoving it at me.
"No," I said, stumbling back.
Blood disgusted me on a large scale, and there was no way I was going to get near it, let alone drink it.
"Babe, you have to drink some if you want to get better," he demanded, starting to get angry at my constant refusal.
After I had rejected the offer (or demand) a few more times, he pulled me into his arms.
"What are you do-"
I was cut off by a bloody wrist shoved into my mouth. I tried to pull him off of me, but I my back was pressed against his chest as he thrust his hand into my mouth and held my waist.
There was nothing I could do.
Tears brimmed my eyes and I held onto his arm, trying to pull it away from me.
I didn't want this.
I opened my mouth widely, getting his wrist out of my mouth for one second before letting out a single, piercing shriek before falling onto the floor, tears streaming down my cheeks.
******Maria's POV******
I sat in my new room, placing shoes on their individual shelves as I smiled, watching Jai fix his hair in our bathroom. I had only been in LA for a day, and I already loved it.
"Hey, beautiful," Jai grinned, giving me a small peck on the lips.
"Hey, can we go to-"
A piercing shriek filled the air, shock coursing through me when I recognized the voice.
Samantha.
I ran out of the room, Jai following me as we sprinted to Samantha's room. I was desperately going over scenarios in my head as to why she would scream, stopping at one.
Luke is taking her blood.
I burst into the room, letting the door slam against the wall.
I was met by the scene of Samantha sitting on the floor in Luke's lap, him force feeding her his blood. She was crying hysterically, trying to pull his arm away from her, but to no avail.
"GET OFF OF HER!" I heard Beau yell from behind us, shoving through us and into the room.
Beau and Samantha often fought like children, but I knew that they could be considered close friends.
"DON'T TOUCH HER! SHE'S MINE!" Luke roared, baring his teeth at us.
Jai gave me a look, throwing himself on top of his twin.
"Luke, you're hurting her! Get off!" I yelled, frantic.
Luke's head snapped over to me, his gaze turning from angry and vicious to confused. He looked down, his eyes turning back to their usual brown as he let her go, allowing her to crawl over to Jai, who was the closest.
Jai hugged her, flashing me a worried look. I knew that Jai was like an older brother to her, so I wasn't worried nor was I jealous.
I walked over to Luke, watching him as he held his head in his hands, shoulders shaking.
He scared me, but he was also my friend and my sister's boyfriend. He needed someone right now, too.
"Luke?" I tapped his shoulder, smiling softly despite my trembling fear.
He lifted his head up, putting his sad, teary brown eyes on display. I felt terrible for him, knowing that his vampire side sometimes got the best of him.
"I didn't wanna hurt her, I just wanted her to heal," he cried, wiping his eyes and giving Jai and Samantha a sad glance.
"What's going on?" Daniel and James walked in, looking confused.
Living with mythical creatures? Not as fun as you would think.
