(Samantha's POV)

"UGHHH!" I yelled, dragging my feet.

I didn't want to get off the plane, I didn't even want to get on it.

"C'mon babe, we gotta go," Luke whispered huskily, having been sleeping.

"No," I replied stubbornly, crossing my arms with a huff.

"Samantha. Let's. Go," Luke replied sternly, and I shook my head again, sitting down in the isle way.

And that's how Luke Brooks ended up dragging me (by my arm) through the airport, Jai and Maria nice enough to carry my bags while Luke dragged his other one behind him.

"Luke! Let me go!" I growled, starting to get annoyed.

It felt like he was about to pull my arm off.

"You were the one who wouldn't cooperate!" He yelled back, the frustration laced in his words.

It really sucked that I kinda liked him, because that softened the urge to beat the shit out of him.

"You do realize that everybody is going to think you're abusing her, right?" Beau said, all of the boys giving us amused looks.

"Oh fuck," Luke cursed, pulling me up and forcing his lips onto mine.

The boys howled with laughter, and I could see Maria giggling slightly.

Bitches.

"I really wanna fucking stab you," I smiled fakely into the kiss, and Luke flashed one back.

"Feeling's mutual, love," he stated, pulling his lips away from mine and gripping my hand, pulling me out the doors.

"Sometimes I seriously doubt your guys' love for each other," James mused, and Luke and I rolled our eyes.

We walked out the doors, paparazzi swarming us.

"Who's this?"

"Are you dating?"

"Daniel, are you dating her?!?"

They yelled out random things, some of them absurd and most of them a bit insulting.

I didn't listen to them, though. They weren't worth my time.

"Heads down, don't answer any questions," Jai whispered, all of us complying.

As much as Luke infuriated me, I still liked him.

Sadly.

We hopped into a black van, a driver in the front seat. He had gray hair and wrinkles, but also a warm smile on his face as he turned to face us, Beau slamming the door.

"Where to?" He asked.

"Just to our flat, thanks Clint," Daniel grinned, and he nodded, turning around and pulling out of the airport parking lot.

I have never seen them so polite.

Luke intertwined our fingers, kissing my hand lightly.

"I'm sorry," he whispered.

"I'm sorry, too," I replied, allowing him to press a small kiss to my cheek.

"Aw, are the little love birds making up?" Beau teased and I rolled my eyes, slapping him in the back of the head.

I turned my attention back to the front of the van, taking in the different scenery.

Everything was really beautiful in California.

Luke had told me on the plane that we were going to Los Angeles, because that's where they all lived now that they were internet famous and going on worldwide tours.

Luke had told me that he loved me, and I didn't feel like it was fair for him to take me somewhere that meant a lot to him and was practically his home if I couldn't reciprocate his feelings, at least not completely, yet. It made me feel kind of weird about it, but I didn't have much of a choice anyway, so I couldn't protest.

He was the vampire, after all.

"Can I read your mind?" Luke whispered in my ear, hesitant.

"You already did, didn't you?" I asked bluntly, already knowing the answer.

He nodded nervously, causing me to sigh.

"It's okay Luke, just try not to do it again," I replied, too tired and jet-lagged to argue with him any more.

Suddenly another thought popped into my head.

If Jai was a werewolf and Luke was a vampire, what was Beau and the rest of the guys? And better yet, why weren't the brothers the same species?

I asked the question on my mind, and everybody stopped and looked at me.

"Well, me and Daniel are human. Beau is a hybrid, which would usually leave him stronger at most things, but he's only quarter hybrid and three quarters human. He barely has any powers at all," James explained and I nodded, understanding.

"As for why we're all different, but still brothers, we don't actually know. We  think our......uh father was hybrid or something like that and so we're all different. But our mom is human," Jai stated uncomfortably, and I was a bit confused.

"Then why don't you just ask your dad?" I stated, immediately knowing I had struck a nerve.

"He's a prick. I never want to talk to him," Beau replied venomously, and I knew.

"I'm sorry; I didn't know," I said and they nodded.

"It's not your fault. Don't worry about it. Look we're here," Luke changed the subject quickly, pointing in front of us to a huge apartment.

Oh. My. God.

What did I get myself into?!
