**Reader's POV**
I can't go after him..but I can't stay like this either.
I stood up and walked slowly and a little worried.When I got closer,he let out a small smirk
''Wha...'' Before I could continue he picked me up and ran to the water
''No,no,noo!!" I started screaming,but that didn't stop him.He got in the water and jumped in it with me in his arms.I started screaming and yelling and ran out of the water.I sat down on the sand and cried what felt like forever.A shadow stood above me
''What's wrong..?What was all that for?'' I heard Yukine's voice ,but the thing I was concentrated in,right now were all the memories of that day..the red water,the screams and the pain...
**Flashback to 3 years ago**
''Oh come on dad!It's not that deep here!'' I laughed.Mу dad and I were on his fishing boat in the sea searching for fish ,but all I wanted was to swim.I have went to swim lessons and even if it was deep I still could swim.My father was a little scared though
"Come on papa,I'm here to help if something happens'' I giggled
''Oh,fine,fine!'' My father gave in and jumped in the water next to me
''There.Was it that bad?'' i splashed water at him and started swimming.He tried to swim after me and get me ,but he wasn't that fast.
After awhile,I saw something moving nit far away from the water,but I shrugged it off and swam to papa,who was a little far away from me
''Papaa,there are a lot of fishies here!'' I laughed.My father smiled at me and at the same moment something happend.Somthing that no child would want to see.
A giant shark jumped at my father and ripped of his head right before my eyes.The water turned dark red.My heart skipped fast and I didn't know what to do.The same shark started swimming after me.I pannicked and swam to the boat and tried to get on it ,but I couldn't.I felt pain in my leg and I realised that the shark had bit me.I started blacking out from the loss of blood.
When I woke up I was at shore and a tall man with a hoddie stood next to me.He had saved me...
Though in my mind the moment with my dad and the shark didn't stop playing on repeat..
**end of flashback**
''And thats why I don't want to get in the water..after the accident I quit swimming and I was really depressed.I didn't go to school for a month and yeah..'' I explained everythung to Yuki.He saw that I felt sad and he didn't leave my side.He had wrapped his arms around me and talked sweet things so he can make me feel better.
''Thats really horrible ,but..you know you can't run away from this forever..you have to move on..'' He said and stood up pointing his hand out so I can take it
''And I will help you'' he smiled warmly
''I-I don't know..''I looked down
''Come on.I'm here to protect you!'' He grinned and I looked at him.Somehow he made feel a little better and I accepthed his hand.We stood up and walked to the water.I was shivering a little
Yukine kissed my cheek and held my hand tight to reassure me that Im safe with him
The water touched my feet and I was about to go away from it ,but Yukine held my hand
''Listen,as long as I'm with you I won't let anything happend to you.And I will help you go through this even if it costs weeks and months..'' My eyes wattered and I looked and Yukine.That was the most lovely thing he had said to me.I didn't feel sad or scared.I felt safe and happy.And for him I'm ready to move on and get in water like a normal person would do .
I stood on my tip toes ,because he was a bit taller and kissed him jently on the lips on which he gladly answered.After we pulled away He mummbled something that made me freeze in place.The thing I thought I heard was..the three words I think I heard were...
''I love you..''
