Kai and Cinder

Kai was a nervous wreck. He had planned to surprise Cinder on Valentine's Day, by making a surprise trip to Luna. She'd been so stressed for a while.
"Cinder," he said.
"Yeah?" She said without looking up from the wires she was tinkering with.
"Happy Valentine's Day."
"What?"
"It's the fourteenth."
"So?"
"It's February."
"Oh, my stars, really? Wait, when did you get here?"
"You really need to start leaving the castle more. So, you know, umm, well, uhh, I sort of, you know, umm, kinda really, well-"
Cinder started to laugh at Kai and said, "I love you too."
"So, do you, you know, want to go somewhere for dinner or something?"
He blurted before he could question his choice.
"KAI!!" He heard a familiar squeal. He turned around to see Iko.
"Hello, Iko." He turned back to Cinder, "so..."
"Ooh," Iko commented. "I'm sorry, am I interrupting anything?"
I'm sure I blushed and Cinder rolled her eyes.
"It's nothing Iko. Go talk to your knight in shining armor," she said with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"I have NO knight in shining armor!" And Iko stomped off.
I raised my eyebrows.
What were we talking about again?" She asked that glint still there. I gave her a look of impatient, and she said, "fine. What his Grand Emporerness wants."
"I'm glad you agreed, Princess Selene."
"I am too."
