Thorne did, but he wanted to surprise Cress.

Thorne just smiled. He landed the rampion and took her hand, leading her near a large tower, as the sun started to set.
"Earth is so beautiful."
"Just like you. Happy anniversary, Cress."
"And I thought it was my birthday?"
"Want to walk around?"
Cress literally jumped with joy, as he led her around the city, they even follow a tourist group, and then went towards a restaurant for dinner.
"It's so romantic here, like a fantasy."
