"K-Kenma?" you covered your mouth when you gasped loudly at the caller ID.
Feeling remorse when you opened the text, your heart only sank more when you read the message.
"Heard you ran into Kuroo at school. Why did u even come back?"
You replied with shaky hands, "I had to... Why are you even texting me in the first place?"
He responded instantly, "Well maybe I was worried um idk..."
"Worried about..?"
A painfully long minute passed before he responded.
"About... That uh, black panther.."
Dropping your phone on your bed in shock, traumatic memories flooded your mind. Tears already began flowing and your body was trembling from emotional trouble. Trying to keep your sobs as silent as possible, you muffled your cries in a pillow. Your phone didn't buzz for a while after that.
All these horrible memories just had to come back now? When Kuroo called you "panther", you just got furious, but Kenma saying that...
"How can I face Tsukishima now?" you whimpered into your pillow.
Vivid images of all the fights you got into during your time at Nekoma haunted you. Remembering the one time you almost accidentally hit Kenma while you were in a fight with a girl emotionally hit you the hardest.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" Kuroo bellowed as he tried to pry you from the other girl.
Kenma was watching a very safe distance away from the brutal fight. You were obviously delivering slap after slap to the girl who was "flirting" with Kuroo. He was trying his best to tug you away, but you had a grip on her hair. No teachers would even attempt to break up your fights because they were that bad.
"LET GO ALREADY!" he was violently tugging at your shoulders, but you still had a strong grip.
The hallway was full of screeching from the girl getting pummeled, your bad-mouthed insults, and occasional slaps to the face to the other girl. This carried on for five minutes. He just couldn't get you untangled from the fight. You saw Yamamoto out of the corner of your eye barreling towards you.
"LET GO OF HER ALREADY!" he shouted. He was the only other brave one to help pry you from fights.
With two rather muscular guys now pulling at you, your grip finally gave out. You were still flinging your fists violently in every direction. The poor girl immediately made an escape.
"OH NO YOU DON'T YOU LITTLE-" leaping from their grasp, you sprinted at her like a wild animal.
She ran a dizzy path towards Kenma, but you were too full of rage to notice. As you balled your fist to slam her temple, she stumbled out of the way in time. Kenma was right there as your fist swung right past him. It was mere inches away from his face as the momentum made your fist bang into a locker.
"OW!" you cussed out several profanities.
Kenma had a look of horror on his face as he almost witnessed a fist to his face. A sizable dent was left behind in the locker. Before you had a chance to make another run for the girl, Kuroo finally pinned you down. The last thing you could remember then was the frozen expression of fear on Kenma.
Finally opening your eyes and letting a few tears flow, you glanced at your right hand which still had scars on it from then.
"I'm sorry," you solemnly muttered to yourself before burying your face in your pillow.
