"Well well," Tsukishima cracked that same stingy smirk.
You were at a loss for words. No noise came at your slightly ajar mouth. Washing over your paled face was a red wave of embarrassment.
"You going to stand there or you going to let me inside?" he frowned seeming annoyed.
This confused you, so he wasn't the one returning your ring? It was barely dark, but he was obviously not at practice. Could they have gotten out early?
"Hello, earth to (name)?" he flicked your forehead almost causing you to trip backwards.
"Y-yes! Come in!" you stiffly said rather loudly.
He kicked off his shoes right after walking in and proceeded to reorganize them.
"Don't look at his ass," you mentally slapped yourself as you distanced yourself from him.
Before reaching the kitchen, your body tensed up realizing something. How the hell did he know where you live? Your mind pondered on the thought before it went blank. There was a possibility that he was here to return your ring. No, that was a unlikely cause, but why would he show up at your door suddenly?
"Um," being naturally bad at starting conversations, especially with your crush in your house, you stuttered trying to find the right words.
"Use your words~" he teased smirking widely.
"Y-you're here because?" you squeaked.
"Oh," his smirk vanished as he pulled something from his pocket keeping it hidden.
Your curiosity rose as he held whatever it was inside his palm in front of himself. He finally revealed what was in his palm, your ring.
"Where did you-" temptation surged through your body as you attempted to snatch it from his hand.
Tsukishima let you take back the ring without question. Watching you carefully examine it, a sly grin emerged on his face.
"Can I ask you a few things about that ring?" he teasingly exclaimed.
"Um, sure?" you twisted the ring back on your finger not giving what he said a second thought.
"Where did you get it?" he muttered in what seemed like a seductive tone.
You opened your mouth to mumble an answer, but you made the mistake of glancing up at his face. Some sort of weird feeling began pooling inside your chest. You haven't felt this since, oh god no.
"None of your concern!" you might have had said that a bit too loudly.
Your hand slapped over your mouth since you let some of the bottled up anger out.
"My my, aren't we feisty?" Tsukishima took a step towards you and instantly towered over you.
Frustrated embarrassment flooded your body as you attempted to step backwards.
"I just asked you a simple question, but I guess it seems like your not in a mood to talk. I'll just leave you alone then," his expression softened back to deadpan.
You didn't say anything else as he put his shoes back on and headed out the door. As soon as you heard a "click", warm tears streamed down your cheeks.
"T-this is all your fault," you swallowed a lump in your throat glancing at the ring with teary vision.
