Chapter 5

4 years later... (You're 7 now)

You were busy chopping an oak tree down for Evelyn with the iron axe she gave you. You noticed you had 3 stacks of different wood and decided to head back to your house. You couldn't help but get the feeling you were being watched, but you shrugged it off and continued walking to your house.

I saw as (Y/n) was walking to Evelyn's cottage. I sighed having memories on how much fun me, Nicole and Evelyn had together. I looked back at the cottage (Y/n) was walking to. (He/She) opened the door and was greeted by.....a white-eyed baby creeper? I teleported behind a birch tree and saw that my eyes hadn't deceived me. The creeper saw me and started to hiss.

"What is it Chico?" I heard (Y/n) say as (he/she) turned towards my direction. I quickly teleported on top of a tree again before (he/she) noticed me. I saw (Y/n) shrug and walked inside the house, closing the door. I couldn't hold it in anymore. I had to tell Evelyn. I changed my eyes to green and teleported to the door. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

No one Pov

"I'll get it!" (Y/n) shouted and opened the door. (He/She) gasped. "Who are you?" 

Hero fiddled with his fingers. "I'm your fath-I mean I'm a friend of your mother-"

"She's not my mom." (Y/n) said harshly.

"Oh. Sorry." Herobrine apologized.

"It's fine." (Y/n) replied back.

'For a 7 year old (Y/n) seems fresh.' Hero thought.

"Who is it, (Y/n)?!" Evelyn shouted from the kitchen.

"A friend of your's!!" (Y/n) shouted back. In seconds, Evelyn was at the door. 

"(Y/n), dinner's at the table." 

"Okay.." (Y/n) said and went to the kitchen with Chico. Evelyn looked close at Hero's face.

"Do i know you?" Evelyn asked hands on her hips. Hero sighed and changed his eyes back to normal. Evelyn gasped."He-" Hero stopped Evelyn from finishing her sentence. 

"I don't want (Y/n) to know yet okay?"Herobrine whispered. Evelyn nodded. She gestured for Hero to come in and he did. Evelyn pointed upstairs and Hero nodded and went.

"(Y/N) I GONNA BE UPSTAIRS!!" Evelyn shouted.

"'Kay!" (he/she) shouted back. Evelyn went to her room where Hero was. She locked the door and sat next to him on the bed.

"Hero, i can't believe it. I thought you were gone." Evelyn said in concern.

"Yeah well, oh! What's up with (Y/n)? (He/She) snapped at me at the door saying, 'She's not my mom.' What's that all about?" Hero asked. Evelyn sighed.

"I knew i told (him/her) too early. But i had to tell her. Think about it Hero. If i told (Y/n) later,like, in (his/her) teens, (he/she) would think i lied to (him/her). I don't want that to happen." She looked at Herobrine with sad eyes.

"Okay,okay. I understand. And...i also have something else to tell you." Hero tried to keep his tears in. Evelyn moved a little closer to him. " A-after (Y/n)'s birth, sh-she left us...for good!" His tears uncontrollably ran down his cheeks. Evelyn's eyes widened and tears also slid down. She hugged Hero in comfort. After the sad moment, Hero finally regained himself. "Evelyn, you're going to have to take care of (Y/n) for 9 more years...I'll come back for (her/him) then." As he said this, Evelyn nodded her head. In a snap of his fingers, Herobrine was gone.
