John P.O.V
We walked and walked... and walked some more. There was nothing but sand and dirt for what looked like miles. "Hey John, there's no need to be scared of not making it to a town, or shelter for that matter." She said sweetly. She was now confusing me even more. "Uh, why?" I asked fearfully. "Bucause I know we're going to find one!" She piped up cheerfully. "How do you know?" "Just thinking positively" She said reassuringly. Luka continued talking "Hey... this is a strange question, but are you getting the feeling that your being watched?" It was a strange question, but I answered. Her positivity was getting to me. "No, I doubt anyone is out here".
There was a voice I've never heard before...
"Hi! What day is it?... No. What year is it? Eh, I doubt you care... No. I doubt you know. Man! I'm confused today! Hey! How are you?"
.... we both screamed....
We both turned around to see a tall boy in a black End leather jacket (surprisingly soft) with purple spots on the right shoulder and the left pocket. He also had finger cut, black gloves. He had black ears that spiked at the bottom and a black tail with a grey tip. His hair was as dark grey as mine. His right eye was bright blue and the other was a hazel-ish brown. His eyes were huge, or they just looked that way because his pupils and corneas were small. The top half of his face was grey and the rest of him was flesh toned. He had three freckles on his left cheek and five on the right. He was a special snowflake.

"WHO ARE YOU?!" John yelled. I don't think yelling at the guy who is two times our size is going to help. "Hey, uh, just a thought, but maybe you shouldn't yell at him." I tried to reassure John. "The name's Nik, Harmonik, but you can just call me Nik!" He answered in a voice that was all over the place... he sounded like one of those guys who tries too hard to sell something at the market. "I'm 10 years old and I have NO idea what I'm doing or where I'm at." He sounded really happy to be lost. "Well, maybe you can help us!" I said cheerfully; he could be good for protection or direction, but I doubt that last one. "No.. He's not coming with us. Turn around and go that way" John said rudely and pointed in our opposite direction. "But that's the way I came from, that tree, I came from that tree." Nik shot back sort of sadly but still smiling.
His smile scared me, but it sort of made me want to laugh. It was big and silly, he sounded silly too. He followed right behind us like a puppy. John frequently tried to lose him, but it's kind of hard to do that in a land only containing dirt, but he did disappear some times. We would turn around and he wouldn't be there and then later on he would reappear. It was strange but I kept it out of my brain.
John looked like he was getting more and more annoyed by the minute. Nik kept on making really bad puns and I think they were getting to him. "Hey Nik, do you think you could maybe, just possibly, stop talking for a little while, please." I said as nicely as I could. "Weeeeellll, since you asked so nicely, I guess I could be quiet, but not because John's getting annoyed." John glared at him with a murderous look. I didn't like that look. "You know... I don't think you ever told me YOUR names... or what year it was, you guys sure are good at first impressions!"

I wanted to slap him so bad, or punch him square in the nose. I wont... I promised I wouldn't hurt anyone and I have to keep it. He's way too happy, he freaking skips around like he's not going to die out here. Plus how could he have been at that tree. We were at that tree and we didn't see him. All I know is that he is VERY annoying.
"My name is Luka and this is my frie-... wait, how did you know his name?" Luka answered Nik. WAIT A MINUTE! He did say my name! Does he know who I am? We all stoped and I backed away from him. "H-how?!" I said fearfully. "I guess I should ask you how you've been showing emotion. I know you're name because... umm... well I can't exactly say, but I CAN say that we're friends!" His voice was too cheerful to sound safe; he wasn't taking the situation seriously. He backed up nervously and he began to wear a very nervous smile and his eyes looked worry some. He played with his sleeve... "We're not friends. I've never met or seen you before! You're making no sense!" I told him angrily. "Sorry... I never meant to cause trouble... I've noticed my wrong doing... I-i should have never come here in the first place. I'll le-" he was interrupted by Luka "It's alright, there's no need to get worked up, even though you might think you should. You did nothing wrong." She looked over at me as if I did something wrong, then she continued "It doesn't matter who you are or if you know us. I'd hate to see you walk alone in this waste land!" Luka... it seems as if she's getting more and more positive as we go along, but we can't have him here, not if he knows who I am. For all I know he could tell her something bad about my past and who knows what she would do to me if she found out! "Luka, he's older than us. I'm sure he can make it on his own." I tried to reason with her, but it wasn't working. "Ya, but we're younger and don't we need an older person to watch after us?" "To be honest, I did mess up. I don't think I should stay and mess up anything else." Nik finally said something semi-logical. "Nik, how could you have messed up?" Luka needs to stop talking. "It's something you wouldn't understand. I don't want to blow your little minds." He's getting cocky, he has to leave! "Just leave." I butted in, I was getting tired of this conversation. "OK!" He said as he perked up and looked a lot happier. He snapped his fingers and he disappeared in a puff of smoke. We stared at the spot where he was standing, wide eyed. "Well" I broke the silence "Shut up" She shot back at me rudely and I walked on and Luka followed soon after.
