Danny’s chest rose and fell with me comfortably on it. His arms were wrapped loosely around my bare lower back and I was curled into a ball on top of him. I woke up on my side with my face buried in his chest, inhaling his familiar smell. His chin rested on my head. My hair was swept behind me, and as I moved ever so slightly it fell over my face. Danny sighed, and I smiled, full of bliss from the night before. I never wanted to get up.
Danny moved his hands, tracing his calloused fingers up the curve of my waist all the way up to my shoulder.
Wait.
I froze, my eyes still unopened.
Danny yawned.
Oh my God. My eyes flew open.
Oh my God. What had I done?
George, not Danny, brushed a piece of hair out of my face.
I exploded out of bed, throwing myself across the room as far as I could get and yanking the blanket with me.
“What the bloody hell…?” He yelped.
I scrambled away from the bed, trying to cover myself as he sat up, completely naked. Horrified and half in a panic I tripped back, falling on my arse. I had to get out of here.
“Donna what’s the matter?” He asked loudly.
“What did you do to me?” I shrieked.
He looked at me bewildered. “What are you talking about?”
I thrust a shaky finger at him. “You took advantage of me!” I was no less than screaming now.
He shook his head confusedly. “No, I didn’t!”
I was halfway to blind hysteria. God how could I be so stupid. It was his fault, not mine. It had to be.
“You forced me George Harrison; you made me cheat on Danny!”
“What?!” He got up from the bed and came toward me. I scrambled to my feet and backed up into the door.
"You practically threw yourself at me yesterday. You said yes.” He said, calmly. I could detect a slight shake in his voice.
“I was drunk!” I shrieked, even though I knew it was a lie. Although I did drink, it wasn't enough to effect my decisions.
“So was I!” He shouted. “Listen” He pleaded “I thought you wanted me.”
I shook my head and could feel the tears coming, thick and fast. “No, I don’t like you.”
He looked stunned, hurt. “You still want him more?” He gasped.
I nodded, slowly.
I could see the fury on his face. “Fucking gear Donna, I think I’ve finally won you over and now you’re telling me it’s a lie? That’s just fab Donna. Nice to lead a man on.”
I stood frozen; watching as he furiously began yanking his clothes back on. He looked up at me.
“Well what the bloody hell are ya’ still doing here? You’ve finished your business, go ahead and leave!” He yelled.
Tears were streaming down my face, but I still had some left to keep arguing. “All you care about is getting what you can’t have!” I screamed back.
“That’s only what you want to think because you’re too afraid of change Donna!” He shouted. His face hardened with anger. “I could get any girl I wanted, you’re nothing but any empty headed blonde good for a night!”
I felt like someone punched me in the gut and held on to twist a little more. I started to cry harder, wanting nothing more than for him to say he didn’t mean it. But he didn’t, he said nothing, waiting for my reply.
“Fuck you George.” I said quietly, spinning around and slamming the door behind me.
