Trapped. Cursed. Enslaved. Never leaving my dark cave. Whenever I tried, an invisible force would teleport me to where I began, an isolated room where nobody dared to search for. I lived in that room for as long as I recalled and I only came out when outside people entered my domain.
When others entered my lair, they always came in a group. I never understood why though. It was probably because humans used their strength in numbers to suppress the skilled. I always defeat them with my swift moves and famous sword. I have a completely black Chinese sabre with gold symbols engraved on it. Translated it says, 'heart of the sword.'
One day I was resting in my shelter when I heard a loud knock on my door. Nobody has ever found my home entrance before, I thought.
Before I reached the door, a man had barged in. He had pure black hair and a completely black outfit. It was metal plate armor with the slightest outline of silver. Although it would not be my choice of armor because the size and weight would hold me down, the man seemed to be used to the weight by the looks of his build.
"Hello comrade. I am Blake and I have come to save you."
"Excuse me? How did you know where I was and what are you saving me from?," I questioned.
"I have been trying to track down people like me the moment I was freed from my previous life. I am trying to help you escape from being under control, following the same routine everyday, and being alone for so long."
"People like you?"
"Yes. You are a lot like me, you fight others only when they enter your territory, you magically survive without any food and your skills and intelligence are above all others. Those kinds of players, like you and me, are known as bosses. The ones you fight are players and you are trapped in this world of games. Others may come and leave as they please but we are forever, we are infinite."
"We are in a game...," I mumbled as I began to process those words.
Author's Note:
Hi guys. This is my first ever story on Wattpad and although it took a long to write cause I wanted to make it perfect, I still have doubts about it. So can you guys please write a comment about it so I will know how to improve it. And the picture on the side is Blake. The rest of the story will reveal itself through time. I will probably take a long time writing the next chapter so please just wait. I will try to write it by the end of this week.
