15. I'm Sorry

The school was finally over with the sound of a bell. The students were rushing out from their classes.

"Yah, Juhyun", Mina called me.

"What?", i tried to be kind to her.

"I-i.."

"Juhyun-ah!!!", Taehyung called from behind and pulled me to him.

Taehyung gave a glare at Mina and i could see a sad face on Mina, she must be really sad that the guy she loved hates her. But i couldn't do anything about that, well..

Because i think i like him.

"Wait Juhyun! Your mom", she spoke again which actually gained my attention. I turned to face her and waited her to speak again. She suddenly hugged me.

"What the hell?!", i heard Seulgi shouted from behind. And actually that's what i'm thinking. What the hell?! What's got into her???

"Juhyun listen carefully"

"Your mom.."

"Your dad.."

"They divorced. Because your dad didn't want to pay the treatment at the hospital anymore. Since my dad own that hospital, ofcourse your mom asked my dad to tell this to me so i can tell you about this"

I stood there frozen, Miyoung who stood next to me too. And also Taehyung.. And Seulgi. Now they knew.. Seulgi would bully me even more devious.

"And your mom said she needs you. So you will go to your mom, let go of your dad", Mina said again, still hugging me.

"I'm sorry. Just because of little things we fought. I didn't even notice how hard everything is for you", she cried and hugged me even tighter. I heard footsteps, Seulgi's leaving us. Miyoung too, she left me alone with Mina because she thought we need to be alone for a while. Even Taehyung too.

I went to Mina's house and stayed there for a while, because Mina asked me to come with her. We both sat down in the corner of Mina's bed. And i was still speechless, thinking this is just a nightmare.

"Listen this Juhyun-ah. Your mom told me this, because she knows you won't listen. She knows you must hate her all this time"

"Your mom, sometimes being lovey dovey with your dad so your dad wants to give her some money. She rarely goes back home just because working all day, even sometimes she stays at her friend's house, just like what you did at my house before. She worked really hard so she could pay your school's fee, because your dad didn't care, he only thinks about himself. Your mom is really sorry to give you her illness, breathing problems. With that she wants to work even harder and when you really grow up, she'll give you the money she's been working for. She asked you to understand her. She cares Juhyun-ah. Your mother cares"

Overflowing tears were falling down, and i could feel the stuffiness in my chest. I couldn't believe it. It's all my fault for being introvert and never talk to my parents, and assumed they don't care about me. I didn't know what my mother had been through.

Mina hugged me and then said, "and i'm sorry for leaving you. I'm such a bad bestfriend. I want to apologize. my dad said it's okay to pay only 50% for your mom. Since it's my bestfriend's mother", she smirked.

I smiled and hugged her.

"I never forgive you because you did nothing wrong. Don't be sorry, friends will fight. That's what makes them even closer", i said.

"And thanks", i added which makes her smile even wider.

Mina let go of me, "let's visit your mother. She must be waiting for your presence because she's alone there".
