Ashley's POV

Chapter Ten:

"Zayn what is it?" I asked again.

"If I told you it wouldn't be a surprise," Zayn grabbed my hand to make me walk faster.

I sighed and followed along. We finally reached abandoned building and I looked over at Zayn impatiently.

"It's on top of the building. Let's go," Zayn let go of my hand and started to climb up the ladder.

"It's not much though but I tried," Zayn said before stepping onto the roof.

"I'm sure whatever it is I will love it," I said while continuing to climb. Once I was to the top of the ladder Zayn grabbed my hand to help me up.

"What is this?" I asked and walked over to the duffel bag sitting on top on the roof.

"This is my attempt of planning a romantic evening for us," Zayn pulled a blanket out of the bag and placed it on the ground. "After you," he added.

"Why thank you. And this is very sweet of you," I sat on the ground and Zayn sat next to me.

"I even made a special meal for us," Zayn said before searching through the bag and pulling out two bottles of soda and plastic container.

"What's that?" I asked and reached for the container.

"This is our delicious meal I prepared myself," Zayn grinned while opening the container. "Two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches," He handed me one of the sandwiches and a bottle of soda.

"Oh my Zayn you are such a great chef," I laughed before taking a bite.

Zayn nodded and took a bite of his sandwhich. We watched the sun set while we ate and talked. By the time we were finished eating, the sky was filled with many stars and the moon.

"And to top off this amazing date," Zayn dug around in the bag. "We also get to enjoy a lovely movie from my laptop."

"Oh how romantic," I smiled and scooted closer to Zayn. He grabbed his computer and placed a blanket around us before starting the movie.

I woke up with an ache in my back and the sun blinding my eyes. I threw my arms behind my head to stretch and hit something hard. I looked over and saw Zayn rubbing his face.

"A simple good morning would have woken me up," He groaned.

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hit you," I kissed his cheek and rolled closer to him.

"It's fine," He kissed my forehead and slowly stood up. He helped me up and we placed everything back into the duffel bag from last night.

"That was really cute what you did last night," I told him.

"Well I figured since we can't really go out on a date I would make one up for us," He replied.

"Well that was for sure the best date ever," We slowly walked to the edge of the building and climbed back down the ladder.
