Ashely's POV

Chapter Twelve:

I sat in the school library staring aimlessly at some book we were supposed to be reading for english class. I had been there long enough to where the library was pretty much empty, other than the old librarian in her office. This whole reading deal was pretty much pointless. I had too much going on in my mind to be able to focus on this boring book anyways.

Harry would talk to me as if nothing happened. As if he wasn't cheating on me. I still hadn't mentioned to him the fact that I saw him and Alyssa together, and I had no intention on doing that. I still needed Harry. I still needed my popularity, and I guess that's why Harry was still together with me. He needed the popularity too.

"Strange to see you here," I heard a familiar voice say.

"It's not my idea of a fun filled after-noon but whatever," I smiled while Zayn sat down on the chair beside me.

"Well how's that book?" He asked.

"Pretty great thanks for asking," I said sarcastically.

"Well why don't you just take a break for a second," Zayn whispered in my ear before grabbing the book from my hands.

"Zayn no there are people around," I pushed his hands away and reached for the book.

"Look around. This library is dead," Zayn said.

"What about Ms.Racheal?" I asked.

"The librarian? Please, she's almost as dead as this library. She can barely see, even with those thick glasses stuck to her face," Zayn said.

I laughed and grabbed his hands. "Well I guess you have a point.

"Of course I do," Zayn slowly leaned towards my face.

"Ashley? Ashely is that you?" I heard Lauren ask.

What did I just get myself into? I quickly pushed Zayn away. "Oh um hey Lauren," I awkwardly ran my hand through my hair before turning to face her.

"What do you think you are doing?" She asked.

I quickly walked towards Lauren. "Okay I know this looks bad but it's not what it looks like I promise."

"Okay well what were you doing with him? He's just a dorky nobody. What about Harry?" She asked.

"Lauren I just...you can't tell anyone promise you won't tell Harry," I begged her.

"Don't worry I won't tell Harry," she gave me a big smile before walking away.

I looked back to find Zayn with his face against the library table. "You have to be kidding me," he groaned.

"She said she wouldn't tell anybody so I think we are fine," I placed my hand on his shoulder.

"This is all my fault I am so sorry," He lifted his head up to look at me.

"Come on Zayn let's go. Everything is fine," I told him.

Wrong. Everything was not okay, and I quickly realized that the next day at school.
