What just happened?

Why do they attack the drone?

Did we do anything that may have threaten them?

But they attacked first, just like they're ready to strike us.

Why?

"Damn, I've never been so panicked before." said Dr. Dexter.

"We need to get to Kirtland Air Force Base and meet Colonel Randall. He is our only chance to prevent their attack." said Dr. Tom

"But why? We didn't provoke them right? We just got out from the gate and suddenly an arrow fly to the drone's direction." asked Dr. Samantha

"I think......maybe....they want to invade us. Just think. Why did the structure get here and how? Gravitational anomaly, manipulation of gravitational wave and a structure that just appeared out of nowhere, don't you think that they're preparing for an invasion?" I implied, thinking seriously

"That's sounds logical. Oh my God. Why now?" said Dr. Edward.

"But what bothers me is the use of an arrow. Why an arrow? Also the landscape is too natural for a world where advanced civilization lives. My hypothesis is they're less technologically developed than us. This hypothesis may explain the use of an arrow and the structure. The structure, or 'gate' design was similar to Ancient Greek architecture, also with the use of markings that may suggest that this building was built during the 8th Century if we compared it to our own history." I suggested.

"Yeah, I think you're right. But if they're far less superior than us, I think they will quickly realize that invading us is a great mistake." said Dr. Samantha.

"This is getting weirder." said Dr. Edward.

Everyone are stressed out. It will take about 3 hours to get to Kirtland Air Force Base. Dr. Samantha has called Colonel Randall and he said that he'll need more confirmation before deploying troops, so he will send a reconnaissance unit to the site and cross the gate to find more conclusive evidence of hostile activity.

5.25 PM

We finally arrived at Kirtland Air Force Base. Dr. Tom shows his ID Card to the personnel and is authorized. We went to the front of the office and got out from the car. There is a tall man with muscular body and wearing a military suit standing in front of the door. It took me a while to realize that he's Colonel Randall. I can tell his name by his insignia.

"Colonel Randall, good morning." Dr. Tom approached him and shakes his hand.

"Good morning, too, Dr. Tom Hanks." he smiled to him.

"Maybe we should get into my office before doing any talking." He said as he guides us through the building.

Soon after, we finally arrived at his office. Colonel Randall sit on the chair and asking for reports. Dr. Samantha put his laptop to his desk and show him the report.

"So, what do we got here?" asked Colonel Randall.

"At approximately 2.07 AM, we've conducted a mission to explore the other side of the gate. I activate the drone and use it to cross the gate. The surface temperature of the other side was about 24 degrees Celsius. The atmospheric compositions of the other side were 71% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen, 1% Hydrogen and other gases such as Carbon Dioxide, Methane and Argon. We've confirmation of other life forms in the area, especially vegetation and what seems to be mammals. But suddenly, an unidentified figure coming out from nowhere and start to attacking the drone with an arrow. Fortunately, the drone was able to evade the arrow and I quickly brought the drone back to ours. Just before everything going dark at the monitor, I've seeing lots of dark figures coming to the gate, just like they're preparing for an invasion. Fearing of that kind of thing will happened soon, Dr. Tom ordered me to call you and report this event." say Dr. Samantha
