I Was There

In the rain, mid summer,
In the heat of winter in my heart,
No matter what I feel, what I cried for,
Despite the happiness that I own,
You were everything.

Strength was invisible,
As I made my way to you,
The force was intensely dominant,
Control was not mine,
Your eyes were in command.

Through the shining days,
To the harshest nights,
I'll find you a light when you need it,
I'll give you a cover from the fire,
I couldn't give you much, but, I gave you all.

You were tired, so you leaned,
I was the pillar holding your back,
Sometimes I could not make it,
You pushed me aside as I was not that worth it,
Never had I gave up.

You're with her, as an optimist,
You're with him and you were funny,
With me, all you show is slight support,
Casual mockeries, like a routine,
I was there, holding my tears.

You were joyful with them,
Probably didn't thought about me,
You found your happiness,
I was not a part of it,
Cruel, it was, but I kind of liked it,
I was there in silence, sorrow, witnessing.

I prayed to God, make this gone,
I hoped to death, that this won't last,
But I need you so bad, so I ripped off my senses,
And I was there, begging for more,
Piece by piece, the sweetness of the pain.

I've seen you sad,
I've seen you happy,
Subtly but surely, it affected me,
I was there for you, to use me,
And I'll be here, always,
Hoping you would actually notice.
