{Fleeger}

Patrick hopped out of his mom's car, kissing her goodbye before walking back into school. There was a winter dance coming up, but he was too shy to ask Elisa. He knew she would ask someone else, so he decided he wouldn't go.

Andy and Pete knew about the dance, and that was where they marked their bet. It had been two days since Pete's confrontation with Andy about it, and Pete intended to ask Patrick to go with him. Andy had the same thing in mind. The dance was only a week away, so they had to make this quick.

The three shared a first period class together- history. Pete always got there first, so he wrote out a little note to Patrick and set it on his desk. He then sat down and waited for Patrick to read it. He walked in, Andy close behind.

Patrick looked at it curiously, flicking his tail. It was red, shaped like a heart and had initials on it. P.W. Patrick sat down, opening it hesitantly and reading it.

'Patrick,
I know there's a big school dance coming up, and I know it's kinda late, but i was wondering if maybe you wanted to go with me?'

Patrick flicked his tail anxiously. Well, there were two guys in his grade with the initials P.W. Pete Wentz and Paul Walters. He thought about it for a moment before feeling something brush against his shoulder, and he knew exactly who it was. He turned to see Pete, down on one knee with a red Rose in his mouth and his hand extended for Patrick to take.

He took it hesitantly, standing up as Pete pulled him closer. He smiled, his teeth still gripped onto the Rose.

"Will you go with me....?" Pete said, taking the Rose out of his mouth and handing it to Patrick. Patrick held it delicately, looking it over and sniffing it and- surely enough- it had Pete's scent almost blocking out the Rose scent. He smiled. He liked that scent, sweet yet savory at the same time. He looked up at Pete, holding the Rose to his chest.

"I- uhm...." He stuttered, "c-can I get back to you on this....?" He said quietly. Pete nodded, bowing and kissing Patrick's hand.

"Of course, Mon Cheri." He said, before walking back to his seat. Wow. Pete took German, not French. Patrick spoke fluent French. Did he do that for me? Patricks thoughts were interrupted by a loud noise. The whole class was cheering happily. Patrick blushed madly, dropping his ears and sitting down. He stared down at the Rose, sniffing it again and smiling.

"vous êtes trop sucré, Peter...." He whispered to it. He put the card in his backpack and kept the Rose on his desk. He flicked his tail happily, but then thought about what would happen if Elisa asked him. He liked Elisa an awful lot and- oh.

Patrick just realized that this meant Pete liked him. He knew Pete was bi, but didn't think about this. He shook that away, staring at the Rose again. He smiled, forgetting about all that. That was when the teacher walked back in, and he took out his History notes.

Andy didn't like this. AT ALL. Pete was getting too close. Luckily Patrick didn't say yes, but he also didn't say no. Andy would have to move quick if he wanted to win Patrick over. The last thing he needed was Pete rubbing in his face that he got Patrick before Andy did.
