Chapter 14

Addison's point of view

I looked back through the window again, the black van is still hot on our trail. Spencer's arm is wrapped around my shoulders, and oddly enough it wasn't awkward. His arm placed where it is I guess you could say was familiar. 

I glanced at the front to see the road ahead. But my eyes slowly guided to harry through the mirror, I took this time to  notice and observe his features. His curly hair was pulled back by an army green beanie , witch made his green eyes more noticeable. and every time he would smirk or talk a dimple would make its way too his face. And even though he was only wearing a plain white shirt and black jeans he seriously looked like he would be a model.

Stop thinking of him that way, i told myself. He stole you from your old life.

Through the mirror Harry's green eyes made contact with mine, which i quickly broke after a couple of seconds. i felt my face flush with embarrassment. He saw me checking him out, I didn't need to look at him to know that he was smirking at me. But thankfully the attention was drawn to skylin.

"Make a sharp U turn," she ordered while rolling down her window. "Go towards them, I'll shoot." she added getting her gun ready. Ivan nodded and got ready to do what he was told.

Spencer's grip became tighter as he pulled me into his chest. As quickly as I was pulled into him I  was torn away. Spencer's arm was soon replaced with Harry's. I was completely confused flustered at this point that I couldn't react. I met Spencer's eyes to give a questioning look. But he looked just as lost as I did. I was just about to pull away and sit by myself, but i was soon slammed onto Spencer's  body once again by the force of the turn that Ivan made knocking us both down on the floor.

i felt Spencer lean down to my ear, "Lets wait another time for that darling." he whispered in my ear making me become bright pink.

I was snapped out of thought when Harry purposely  cleared his throat. He scolded at Spencer before pulling me off of him.  Once I was off of  spencer he tightly grabbed my wrist and harshly sat me next to him. I decided not to fight him this time.

I flinched as i heard the first shot fire, It took out the front tire of the van.

The second shot was fired, this taking the the wheel behind the one that was just fired at moments ago.

The sudden deflation of the two tires made the car tilt to the right causing the van to flip of the side of the road. leaving space for Ivan to drive back the way we were going. As we drove away i saw the car explode in the distance, causing my heart to to sink.

They just took a  multiple lives, I thought to myself. 

I shook my head while i fiddled with my fingers, trying to forget what just happened.

As if Harry could feel my nervousness I felt his arm closest to me snake around my waist and pulling me towards him, causing my head to fall on his chest. I let out a long sigh as i slowly gave in to him. There is no use in trying to get away from him.

A few hours past, the hours have been full of silence. No one spoke a word, all you could hear was the sound of the engines roaring.

The sun was starting to set. I could feel my eyes getting heavy every minute. I stayed strong, not wanting sleep to get the best of me.

I tried to maintain myself awake, but minutes later I let myself be overwhelmed by darkness.

My eyes shot open to the feeling of somebody shaking me. But soon regretting making such a sudden decision, I felt my eyes water because of  the sunlight that was shining in my eyes.

When my vision was cleared i saw the Figure that caused me to wake up in such an ungraceful manner. It was Skylin.

"Get up princess, we're making a pit stop."

I looked at my surroundings, Harry was fast asleep with his head leaning against  mine. It took me a second to realize that I was almost all the way on top of him. i felt my cheeks heat up at the thought of knowing that Skylin saw us. The twins were asleep in front of me while Ivan was sitting shotgun with his eyes closed. I guess Sky and Ivan took turns driving.

I looked at Skylin as her face showed impatience.

"Get off of the van." she ordered more demanding this time.

I nodded as I carefully pushed my weight off of Harry, trying really hard not to wake him. once I was successfully outside I felt the refreshing cool air hit my face. Gosh, was I happy that I was out of that closley packed area.

I look around me, This is a perfect place to run. And this time Harry can't stop me. I silently planned to myself

"Don't think you can pull anything with me princess, I am stronger than you think." Skylin said, lowering my hopes of escaping.

We are standing in front of a Walmart that was in an unknown town, in the middle of nowhere.

Once we were inside Skylin i was instantly taken by the hand to the clothes section.

"Put this on." skylin said tossing me an outfit.

"why?" i asked looking down at my attire, wondering what was so bad about it.
But i was just answered by a scoff.

"Just go put it on."

I looked for the nearest fitting rooms and started to change. Skylin has given me a pair of waterproof pants that were a cacky color with a plain black V-neck. once I was done, Sky was waiting at the door with a cart full of food and water.

When we were done with she lead me to the register to buy everything.

Why is she paying? I thought criminals took everything for free?  I  thought to myself.

But apparently I am read like an open book so Skylin answered my questionthat was thought in my head once we were walking back to the car.

"I am not one of those criminals that think that they can take everything they want with a point of a finger. I only go against the law when the rule gets to much power over me." she said to me.

I only nodded to her response.

I grabbed the bags from the cart and took them with me inside the van that was in front of me and set them down next to me as I entered the car.

I sat next to harry but kept my distance with him, not wanting to reenact the actions that were done when I woke up.

Moments later Skylin roared then engine back to life and we started to once again go off on the road ahead.

Okay so I decided to keep going with the story, even though I don't know what the connections are going to be. So bear with me here.

Also sorry for the bad chapter, I just needed to get past the boring part. I'll try to update more frequently.
