lesson seven: accept necessary change
•••"life isn't about finding ourselves, life is about creating ourselves."
all humans have a past, and most of the time, we make mistakes. some of those mistakes can define us, bring us down, and continue to dwell within us today.
now that you've learned to let your past anchorages go, you need to know what to do next, and of course, how to do it.
this lesson is about accepting change. to accept change, you have to accept yourself. this includes your past, your mistakes, everything.
the secret to change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but building the new. you must know that change is only good when it makes something better. you can start out small, and soon you'll make a huge difference.
but what kind of change can you make to yourself?
sure, you're a good person, but we all have our problems, and we must solve them together.
for example, smiling more would start to make a change in your life, especially if you're trying to stay positive. i, myself, struggle with not smiling.
below is a list of small examples of what you can do to change, become a better person, and have an easier life.
• make new friends - it's hard to socialize, especially for me, but having friends is really good. i'm always here if you're in need of a friend.
• change what you wear - this may not necessarily be a problem with you, but if you're not happy with what you're wearing, wear something else!
• exercise! - it's fun if you put your heart into it.
i'm not saying you need to change your whole lifestyle, by all means. but if you're not happy, you should put forth an effort to change your ways for the better.
like i've said before, i'm always here to talk to, i'm always here to be a friend or accountability partner.
