Broken

~Eren's POV~

I couldn't feel my breath anymore. My lungs seemed to reject the much-needed gas. My heart was shattering, my eyes stung.

'Oh,' I tapped out onto the table, a bit slowly. Armin shifted next to me, then reached out to grab my hand. I quickly put my hand in his and prayed that he was just joking.

"There's this really nice college that has given me a scholarship and I just don't think I can pass this up," he said slowly, "I'm really sorry Eren."

I felt warmth streak down my face and I lifted my free hand to find my cheeks were wet. Thank god Armin couldn't see me. I resisted the urge to get up and run. I threw a look at Jean that said 'please help me.'

"What were you going to tell me?" Armin's soft voice asked. I stiffened immediately.

I couldn't tell him now. Not after what he just told me. I tried to tap out something into his hand, but I was shaking at this point. I pulled my hand away to cover my mouth as a shaky breath escaped me.

"Eren?" Armin asked, his voice soft.

'It's nothing,' I tap on the table, 'I'm happy for you. I hope you have an amazing time in Berlin."

With that, I stood up, the chair probably screeching against the floor. I fumbled forward, Jean quickly catching me as I tripped.

'I need to go,' I signed to Jean. He just nodded and told Armin that I wished him well.

That night I sat alone in my room, images flickering on the television screen. Jean was texting me to see how I was, but i didn't respond. Of course he would leave. How was it supposed to work out anyway.

I can't even talk.

What if one day he got robot eyes or whatever and saw me. What if he hates how I look. It wouldn't have worked out anyway.

'Stop being stupid' I think to myself in a scolding tone as another tear fell down my face.

Laying back in my bed, I closed my eyes.

"A..." I tried to say, it probably came out horribly. "B..."

A sob shook me, "C."

Darkness began to consume me as I tried to speak, "D."

My tongue felt swollen and useless, "E."

I rolled into my side, curling up as sobs took over. Eventually I fell asleep, falling into a fit of nightmares

Yea so I had about 500+ more words but I wrote it all off wifi so it diDN'T SAVE AND IM PISSED BUT WHATEVER YOU WILL GET OVER IT IM SORRY.

Also, if you wanna get ahold of me follow general_garbage 's lead and post something on my conversation board thing whatever *points to it and plays majestic music*

I don't read comments so? I should, I know, and maybe i will start. But yea, here we are. That ending is Eren trying to say the alphabet but falling asleep before he could finish. Sorry if that's weird?
