I saw Tessa trying to go faster than me, but that wasn't fair, she was taller than me anyways which means her skis are longer. She would go over bumps and in and out of bounds.  So did I.  She yelled across the ski slope to me and said "Go out of bounds and I will meet you at the bottom!"  I knew my Mother wouldn't be happy with this.  I took a deep breath and replied  "Would you stop calling me a wimp?  If you do then I will go out of bounds!"  "fine!"  I looked at my Mother one more time, she couldn't see me because I was behind.  "goodbye" I said to myself. I took a big turn to the left and stopped, I just couldn't quite yet. I could die if I get stuck out there, and wild animals live out there too.  If I get lost it is all Tessa's fault.  I continued to go left then stopped again, this could be the end! what am I thinking, but something told me to go then something told me to stop, go stop go stop. Then I let all my stress fall away.  I went out of bounds.  I didn't feel so good about this.  I could imagine wolves just meters away from me ready for dinner.  There were lots of trees I had to dodge, a few rocks too.  I was going as fast as I could to beat Tessa.  She was probably at the bottom already chatting with Isabelle saying I am a wimp.  I got lost in my thoughts that it was just my instinct now gliding me through the forest.  Suddenly, a wall of trees appeared in front of me and a bright orange fence was blocking the way back to the real ski run.  My only option was to go further into the forest.  What would I do now,  live in the forest like Bear Grills?  I had a whistle on my jacket, maybe if I blow that people will hear and come help me.  I tried to sit down with my skis on but that twisted my ankle in a strange way that made it feel like it was broken. tears filled my eyes again.  I didn't see any path I could fit through that would bring me back to my family and frien... never mind.  The sun was going down quickly, luckily I had a watch, and on the watch there was a  miniature compass. "thank god" I whispered to myself but there still was a piece missing. My family.  My eyes filled with tears again, I stood up and brushed my shoulders.  I couldn't give up just like that, my parents probably had helicopters searching for me or a police team,  I could even be on the news all over the world.                "A twelve year old girl went missing on the top of Big White today at 1:30 pm.  If you see this young girl please report to the Big White police station."  I could be famous!
