I remember somebody telling me not to eat snow when you're already  very cold, but I didn't care.  I took a big handful of snow and ate it.  I have never tasted anything so beautiful and crisp before.  I could feel my heart beat in my head and my insides freezing up, that wasn't such a good idea.  Since it was light out I could maybe somehow get a fire to start with sunlight or get some snow to melt to make water.  I had no glasses so how would I do this?  I looked in my pocket and found a plastic bag.  hmmm, I thought.  I could put snow in the plastic bag then warm it up in the sun light! genius!  I started to fill the bag up with snow where it was the cleanest,  most of the clean snow was beside a tree.  I was trying to find inner peace as I was calmly putting snow in the bag, tried whistling and humming, then a funny smell started to lurk around.  I looked up and around then down at the snow.  It was yellow! gross! But that isn't only gross, that means something is living around here.  I quickly emptied the bag and refilled it with clean snow, then I put the snow in the direct sunlight to melt.  My migraine was slowly going away.  The fresh snow that there was last night probably covered up the tracks of whatever animal had urinated.  I started to search around until I heard a noise in a bush.  Not any ordinary bush, a Huckleberry bush! I looked through the branches of the bush then took as many berries as I could fit in my mouth, hands and pockets.  I could tell that it was Huckleberry because of the bright colour and thin branches that is has, I learned that from living in Vancouver where there is lots of forests.  When I got back to the place where I had slept, the bag of snow was almost all melted into water,  I quickly drank that down.  A little while later  I had an idea, maybe if I went close enough to the ski run, I could blow my whistle and maybe somebody will find me.  I walked back to where the thick wall of trees were.  It was a very long walk from where I was.  I climbed over rocks, trees and cliffs.   When I thought I was close enough that people could hear me,  I blew my whistle really hard. "TWEEEEEEEEEET!!!"  it was so loud it hurt my ears.  I waited and waited, you never know, maybe somebody can hear it.  I blew it really loud again, but nobody responded.  trees after trees after trees, I couldn't even see the ski hill nor hear anybody so I doubt they heard me.
