I quickly gave up on trying to blow the whistle.  Nobody responded.  I slowly dragged myself back to my "home" for now.  I started to think of survival skills I once learned.  It seemed as if I was not myself in the wild, like I was running on adrenaline I guess.  My heart beat was picking up,  and I  was                  looking around me all the time like a little bird.  Later that day I was seeking ways to get out of the forest and things that could help me  start a fire.  As I went deeper into the forest I could hear noises and rustling sounds in bushes all around me.  I probably looked like a caveman at that time,  knotted hair,  starving and holding a sharp stick I carved myself with my teeth.  I kept waiting till something would pop out, but nothing did.  Maybe it was wind blowing the branches of the trees and bushes.

As the sky was getting darker I could hear sounds of the snowmobiles that go up and down the ski run to clean it.  The sound reminded me of home, the cars that drive up and down our street at night.  Tonight was a full moon, I could imagine werewolves running around but that freaked me out.  "rustle rustle"  I could hear more noises in the bushes,  I quickly stood up and grabbed my spear stick.  Nothing seemed to be around, but my sixth sense told me there was.  I waited and said "I am not afraid!  Come out and show yourself!"  I took a deep breath and pictured my Mom, Dad and me as a happy family and shook my head with some tears coming from my eyes.  Then I stood up straight and said "Come out!" one more time, I was scared there would be a werewolf waiting to shred me to pieces.  I was ready for anything to happen,  I took a step closer to the bush that I heard the rustling in.  "AAAAAAAAAAAAA"  I screamed as loud as I possibly could.  I saw bright yellow eyes staring at me, it had that piercing stare that Tessa had, but this stare wasn't mean, I felt like it was saying  "Are you all right? I have been watching you since yesterday to make sure you were safe.  Don't worry, I don't want to eat you."  But how would that possibly be real?!  whatever creature that was, it is hungry! I heard it run out of the bush, then stop for a second and come back.  When it came back it did not hide in the bush, it stood staring at me, so I stared back  "LEAVE!" I yelled as loud as I could, but it did not budge, it just stared at me with its bright yellow eyes.  It took a step closer.  That thing was going to eat me no matter what I thought.  I kept yelling and yelling but it would not budge,  maybe all it wanted was some TLC, that's what I wanted.  With the moonlight hitting it perfectly I could see its outline.  It was a wolf !
