Kehmila POV✨

I woke up to my room being completely unpacked. "What?" I thought. I knew I was close to being finished but I know for a fact I wasn't done. I made my way to my parents room and knocked on their door. "Come in." My mom called. I walked in to see her still in bed. But my dad gone. I stop in my tracks. "Where's dad?" I ask. "At work hun." My mom says. "Oh. Okay. But um Mom did you finish unpacking my room for me?" I asked. "No Ben did." She replied tiredly. Now I'm completely confused. I tapped my foot and poke my tongue threw the inside cheek. "Uh-huh." I said as I turned and walked to Ben's door and knocked on it.

"Come in." Ben called.

"What do you want?" I said. "You came into my room." He scoffed. "Mom said you finished unpacking my room for me." I said. He slightly smirked and said "This is correct." "Your my little brother." I said. "This is also correct." He said smiling.

Did I mention Ben is very sarcastic. Ben is about 6'2 lightskin with curly hair. People don't even think we're related because we're so different. But I love that hockey playing idiot a lot more than I'll ever admit.

"You don't do things for me." I said. "Oh how accurate big sis!" He said with a fake peppy voice. I glared at him. "Okay, okay chill. what's your point?" He said finally getting serious. "My point is what do you want from me?" I said.

"For you to drive me everywhere for a week. And, don't say no I have a very special item of yours that I took in case you said no. If you want it back you better say yes" He said smiling. Aww cute he thinks he won. I chuckled as I walk to his gym bag and pull out my favorite choker and walk back towards the door. "Nice try baby bro and by the way my pictures go on the left side not right." I said smirking as I go to shut the door. I take one look at him and he looks defeated. I sigh. "I'll start driving you tomorrow." I said. His face lights up. "I love you Mila, Thanks." "Yeah, yeah whatever just stay away from my room from now on." I said shutting the door and walking back to my room.

I take a shower and check my phone. I see that I got a text from Rhyan telling me to meet her at her house. So I throw on a maroon crop top with some plain ripped jeans and my Jordan retro 3's. And, I threw a black and white kimono over everything.

After I get dressed I grab my keys and head out the door. I drive in silence just taking in the scenery. I never realized how much beauty was in Jacksonville, Florida. My town St. Johns is a very beautiful place and I never truly appreciated the art all around me. I guess now that I know I'll be leaving soon I'm starting to really see what I'm going to miss.

After I park and I get out the car I knock on Rhyan's door. And look down at her mothers flower bed. It was full of what was now my favorite flower as of today. It's so beautiful. The flowers are called Dahlia's. They put me in a trance. They're just so gorgeous.

"Kehmila!" I heard a male voice yell pulling me from the trance. I looked up from the flowers and mentally face palmed myself. "Hey... Lucas..." I said with hesitation.

lucas. What an asshole. We dated my sophomore year. His Junior year. I was very insecure and not confident at all. He used that to his advantage. He was physically and emotionally abusive. I felt like I didn't deserve to be happy. But I'm different now. I'm happy and confident. And, I know I didn't deserve that. And, I don't deserve the permanent burn mark on my wrist that he left. He keeps trying to get back together a year ago with me but I will never go back to that pain ever again in my life. I've ignored him ever since.

"So um Rhyan texted me to come over." I said breaking the awkward silence. "Oh that wasn't Rhyan that was me. I wanted to see you. Rhyan's at work." He said. You've got to be kidding me. "Can... can we... um talk?" He said breaking me out of my thoughts of escape plans. "Oh umm. Well I uh..."
