I slowly opened my eyes, my head was pounding and throbbing in all places I felt weak and afraid, I tried to wake up and sit up straight on my bed but I couldn't...aaarg these are the days I could use a sponge bath right now

I turned my head to the right the moment I felt the bed dip down on my other side and shock was not even the word to describe it

"Carter??!!" I meant to shout but it comes out as more of a whisper

He suddenly shifts and blinks rapidly staring at me

"What are u doing here" I question him

"Hey babe"

"Really carter at a time like this you have got to be kidding me right" I say with a blank face

"Even hurt you still amuse me "he chuckles a bit

"Why do I feel like a ton of bricks fell on me"i ask massaging my head

"That's because you got your ass whooped"he says

"Whatever "I said

"Would you like some water or something "

"No"

"Come on you have to have something in you"

"No and stop insisting"

"Come on"he kept pushing

"No I don't want anything and why do you card all of a sudden now I mean it's jot like we are friends or anything, you never paid attention to me so why start now...I just wanna know cause I don't get were all this sweet affections are coming from I am invisible to everyone and I always will be so if you want your reputation to stay intact you can leave "

"Uh...wha...I mean...come on you jot invisible "he says stuttering

He doesn't get it no one does...we are living in two completely different worlds and it wouldn't work out

"I am sorry I haven't paid attention to you"he says

"What!!! I don't need your pity so don't apologize just to make me feel better cause am very far from being better ok I just wanted to know your intentions"

"Look I am sorry "

"I know it's fine I guess no need to keep on apologizing maybe we can try the whole friendship thing"i say

"Yeah I guess "he says as he draps him hand around my shoulder freely and from that little affection I shudder

"Can I ask you one more thing though"

"Yeah ask"i say to him

"Why didn't you fight back when Katie and her minions were beating you up"

"I couldn't"

"Why"

"I just felt weak I mean am now used to it already "

"Ooh but u stood up to her in Friday at school"

"Yeah that was different...I have a lot of things going in right know and I do jot need another person who finds an excuse to make my life a living hell and I am really sorry to say this but your sister is a biatvh"

He chuckles "don't apologize plus she isn't my real sister"

Confusion written all over my face I turn to look at him "what do you mean by that"

"My dad married her mom...even though she is younger than him..we don't even have the same blood in our veins"he chuckles and sighs" and she has this major crush on me that she thinks is normal" he sighs loudly again

"Omg hahaha!!! Wow she really has it bad for you then"i laugh loudly

"Yeah she kinda does"

And that was it..the only normal conversation we have had since sophomore year

"Look you really have to leave now my dad wil be home soon and this does not look appropriate yeah"

"Yeah I knew you would kick me out eventually " he laughs

"Well if you knew then get moving okay" I say pushing him out of bed

"Yeah see ya around jess"he waves as he makes his way out the door

And the rest of my weekend is spent like that in bed and eating my heart out

Carter on my kind constantly I flush at the thought of carter and me sleeping on my bed seems like yesterday that happened

Well it was yesterday...for the first time every I am actually looking forward to going to school with all my bruises and all
