Forgotten ( A Gruvia FanFiction)

Chapter- 14

The large pillow like clouds continued to spit out their beads of water and drench the earth below while the atmosphere grew more tense between the two mages.

"G-Gray..." the bluenette stammered out.

The raven hair boy didn't say anything, instead he looked at the saturated water mage with wavering eyes. His mind was completely blank at that moment. What could he possibly have to say to the girl he hurt countless times? As she stared at him, he could see the hurt and sadness oozing out of her eyes. Her ocean blue hair fell on either side of her flushed face and her arms wrapped around her slender frame to keep herself warm from the weather's harsh cold breeze.

"Ju-..."

A sudden sharp stinging pain was felt on the side of Gray's cheek, followed by a warm sensation streaking down on it. He looked down onto the ground and saw that there was a drip of blood spreading itself in the little puddle of water the rain had created.

"What the-..Uh!"

The ice-mage noticed an arrow sticking out of the ground in front of him. Someone was trying to hurt him! He quickly stood his ground, ready to face his opponent and protect Juvia from any harm.

"Juvia just stay behind me alright."

She lowered her head without saying a word and stood up from the ground behind Gray while he scanned the open clearing for his foe. There was the splashing of water coming in their direction and when the two mages turned their gazes to it, they saw a tall figure standing there with a bow in the clutches of his hands.

"So you're the one trying to make me into a bulls eye target eh?"

Gray did his ice-maker stance and readied himself for the next attack. However, it never came, a chuckle did instead. 

"It's so nice to finally meet my father's murder....Gray Fullbuster."

This caught Gray off guard.

"Murder?"

Another arrow was shot but Gray regained his focus just in time to freeze it.

"What the hell are you talking about?!" 

The figure moved closer and the two mages were able to see it more clearly. It was a muscular young guy who seemed to be the same age as them. He had spiky black hair and defined facial features. He was pretty tall to, with leather clothing hugging his well built body and his pouch fulled with menacing metal arrows wrapped around his waist. On closer inspection, you could see the emblem of a Dark guild tattooed on his forearm. 

"You're from a dark guild!" 

"Indeed I am popsicle boy, and so was my father, but that was until you froze him and shattered the ice into a million pieces!!!" 

The memory had came rushing back to Gray at that moment. He did freeze a man from a dark guild not to long ago but it was only because that man had hurt Juvia. 

"You're father deserved to die....he tried to hurt someone important to me..." 

"I don't care dammit! you killed my old man! there is no way that that is forgivable! you'll pay with your life!" the dark wizard snarled and readied his bow.

"Chottomatte!" the bluenette had jumped in front of raven hair boy with her arms spread out like a shield. 

"Uh! Juvia what are you-..."

"Please don't do this Sir...Revenge is never the answer to your problems and killing Gray is definitely not either. I'm sure there is another way we can-..."

"Move aside girl! Or else you'll be joining your boyfriend in the afterlife as well!" 

Juvia flinched and parted her lips to say something but was silenced when the sound of a launched arrow fired and impaled something before her, causing it to splatter blood on her figure and blank face. The motionless form stood in front of her, bleeding heavily from its middle torso while its dark hair covered the widen, lifeless eyes it possessed. The bluennette's pupil's shrunk and quivered at the sight. Words could not begin to describe how she felt at that point in time. It was like her whole world had vaporized before her and created a void. Time had completely stopped. The only thing moving was the thousands of tears that fell out of the sky. 

"J-Juvia-..."

She winced at the sound of her name being weakly said by the figure. 

"I-....I really did l-.."

There was the sound of a raspy cough and...

Blood...

"Juvia....I really did love you~...."

And with a loud thud, the figure fell in a pool of crimson and the water mage murmured something under her breath...

*Falls on knees next the motionless and bleeding figure* 

"G..."

"Gra..."

*Holds head*

"GRAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

O - O *looks around nervously* heheheh ^-^" Hyo Hyo minna-san. Its been a long time hasn't it? Gomene o- o" you see the thing is I went camping and I sort of fell when we were hiking ._.
