I sat on the cold, hard floor, staring at the wooden door and shivering. I thought the people had wanted me alive? This would kill me if I was down here long enough. With a sigh I tore my eyes away from the door to look around the cell. It was empty, just a large enough cage that I could stand up in and walk around a bit. I couldn't even do that though. I looked at my knees instead, as tears welled in my eyes. I now just wanted to be home in my moms safe arms.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw a bright purple flash. I spun my head to the side quick to see what it was. In the cell, purple flames left the sides of a girl, she looked the same age as me and the two darker twins. She has purple hair and twisted horns, her ears were pointed almost like an elves in all of the fantasy stories. Her eyes were mesmerizing, a golden yellow that glowed the slightest bit. They were the most beautiful thing I have ever seen on a human. Around her neck was a black collar and a huge bell that dangled from it, every time she made the slightest move it would jingle. She wore black clothing to cover her, and black jeans. She also had black boots that reached to her knees. Then her back caught my eyes, she had a pair of wings. They were so small that in no way she could fly with them and by the looks of it, they were not connected to her back. My heart beat faster, who was she, what was she and why was she here?
"H-Hi.." I spoke to her. My voice was rough from not speaking in what seemed like forever.
The girl looked at me and I looked back at her. Her eyes did not look like they were filled with a hunger or a lust, but more of a pity, more of a sorry look then one of danger. Finally she spoke,
"I'm so sorry this had to happen to you.." She spoke gently, her voice smooth and it carried a tone of calmness and caring.
"I-It's not your fault... not like you were the one to trap me here. You don't seem to want to hurt me.." I spoke, calming down and looking back down to the ground.
The girl sighed and lowered her head, coming closer and kneeling down, "Sadly, dear, I was the one who put you here. See, I am a demon and all of the vampires around here make me do something. I'm just like all the other demons around the mansion." She spoke gently, watching me as she spoke.
"Well, you are under their order." I spoke as I took another glance at her. For a demon she was very pretty.
Her eyes looked saddened as she looked at me. With a quick flick of her fingers, the ropes tying me down burned up into flames and left my wrists un-done. Jumping away with panic, I looked back at the rope and then my wrists, they weren't burned like I thought they would be. The flames hadn't hurt me. The girl looked amused.
"I wouldn't hurt you. Don't worry." She smiled, her eyes lighting up more. "My name is-" She was cut off from the sound of people talking. "I must go." She spoke in a hurry.
"Wait-!" I spoke but she was already puffing up in purple flames that wound around her body and made her disappear. I frowned and crawled back against the wall, curling my legs close to my chest and wrapping my arms around my legs. The voices got louder as people started coming down the stairs.
"I told you, you will not harm her yet. She must be ready." The voice spoke. I could tell that it was Dimitri. I fixed my eyes on the stairs as they came into view. Dimitri lead two others into the room outside the cell. Their was four of them, Dimitri, his sister Victoria and two others that were new to me. They still looked the same age as the two dark twins looked. I examined the two other boys that came down. I was distracted as my eyes met one of the boys, his filled with shock. My heart sped up as I saw him. I knew him from school.
