Final Goodbye

Chapter Eight

My phone played ' B.E.D x Jacquees ' my alarm for school. I quickly shut it off, and slid out of bed. I went to take care of my personal business, and came out to get dressed. I wore my white True Religion shirt and my light blue True Religion shorts, followed by my blue and white Jordan 1's and my white polo hat. I put my hair in a ponytail, and stuck it through the opening part of the hat. I put my jewelry on and some perfume. I added a touch of light make up and lipgloss. I turned around to see Kris in bed watching me.
" Stalker. Get ready for school." He laughed and threw a pillow at me. I blocked it and whined.
" I'm not going today. I don't feel like it." I shook my head.
" What's stopping you from learning and hanging out with your friends. I have to cheer and dance at a game today." I stated.
" I know I know, and I will make it there. I haven't forgotten. I just don't want to go today. I don't feel like being around the boy Kobe." I threw my hands in the air.
" Wow ! Are you scared of him Kris ? Kobe? Really ? Come on. Jack maybe, but Kobe ?" I shook my head.
" Ain't nobody scared of anybody. I just know if I see him he gone say some slick shit and imma go he fuck off. I might kill him Dejanaye. I never liked ole'boy from the beginning." I grabbed my keys.
" All you gotta do is stay as far as possible from him and your koo, but if you don't wanna go fine then. I'm still going." I walked over to his side and pecked his cheek. He grabbed my hand.
" That's it ?" I laughed.
" You have morning breath, and I'm not about to have my mouth smelling like yours." He laughed.
" Shade being thrown. I see where the love is." He said standing up to enter the bathroom.
" I'll call you when I get there." I heard him yell okay, so I left locking his door behind me.

" Yes. Can I have a two breakfast crunch wraps and a two orange juices?" I order in the drive thru of Taco Bell.
" Will that be all ma'am?" I responded with yes.
" Your total will be $17.58. Please drive to the next window.
" Your total is $17.58." I handed him a crispy $20 bill. A few minutes later he came back with my order. I peeped at the time. 15 minutes to get there. O drove out the parking lot, eating the life out of my breakfast crunch.
I walked through the front gate and automatically spotted Regina with Jack. I hugged them both handing Regina the Taco Bell bag .
" Got you something on the way here." She kissed my cheek.
" You didn't have to though. I appreciate it." She halved the breakfast crunch with Jack.
" Kris didn't want to come today, so I'm stuck here alone." Regina smacked my arm.
" Bitch you got me. Ever since y'all started y'all lil business you been all up under him. Spend some time with me for once."
" Regina I'm always with you. I may be with him a lot but you'll always come first." She nodded.
" I betta." I laughed and we headed to class.

" Ms. Farrell can I use the restroom please ?" Kris wanted me to facetime him.
" Go ahead. Take the pass." I grabbed the clipboard and facetimed him.

Kris - Hey sexy
Dej - (laughs) Wassup Kris
Kris - What you doing ?
Dej - I mean I didn't know you were that slow. I'm at school
Kris - Everything okay ?
Dej - Yeah.
Kris - Okay. I'll call you in like an hour or so
Dej - Okay. Imma head back to class
Facetime
I ended the call, and placed my phone in my back pocket. I walked out stopping at the fountain drinking the cold water. I felt a stinging sensation on my ass. I quickly turn around and see Kobe. I tensed up in front of him.
" Wassup beautiful." I was so nervous I just stood there praying he would just disappear.
" Kobe leave me alone. I don't want you near me at all." I said trying to move around him, but I was pushed back.
" Why not. Your bitch ass boyfriend told you to. Why didn't he come today ? Was he scared ?" He laughed. I slapped him.
" No! He didn't want to kill your ass today." I pushed him, and walked away. He grabbed my arm, and squeezed it.
" Touch me like you don't have sense Dej and imma beat your ass forreal. We don't want a rerun of last summer do we?" I looked at me with his cold bloodshot eyes and I yanked my arm heading back to class.

I tried to act normal as possible throughout the rest of the day. I couldn't even focus. I looked at Regina sitting on Jack's lap and smiled at her. We were in our last class before school ended. The bell rung startling me. I grabbed my bags, and walked to the gym for practice. We have a big game after this. I spotted Kobe on the bleachers. He smiled and winked at me. I looked away and walked toward the rest of my cheer group.

The game was over; 30-21. Our school won, and to celebrate we all as in the school were going to Chloe's house to party. She the quarterback girlfriend. I changed into my black tights, my black body fit crop top, my black & white 14's, and my jean jacket. I walked in with Regina and Kris. It was pretty lit. I felt the vibe as I passed through. I went to grab a couple drinks for Kris and I. I had a couple to loosen up a bit. I grabbed Kris hand and led him to the dance floor. Dej Loaf and Jacquees - Set It Off blasted through the speakers blocking everyone else making it easy for me to feel the beat more.
