Whoa oh oh,

Whoa oh oh,

Whoa oh oh,

Whoa,

I'm waking up to ash and dust,

I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust,

I'm breathing in the chemicals

(Inhales) (Exhales),

Cassie groaned and rolled over slowly. She had her arms wrapped around her brother, Sammy, and saw that she was laying next to Ben Parish. Memories of the last evening came flooding back.

Flashback

Ringer was shouting commands left and right.

"Go for shelter!" Was the only one Cassie obeyed.

She grabbed her brother and pulled him behind a truck that was near the scene. She felt someone bend over behind her, and whirled around, pointing her gun at the culprit. It was Ben Parish.

"It's me!" He cried, throwing his hands in the air.

Cassie sighed and put her gun down. She shoved Sam towards Ben.

"Ben, please... Get him outta here. I gotta go help... We'll be back." Cassie didn't give him a chance to protest, which she knew he would, before running out into battle.

Sam hid behind Ben and whimpered.

"Come on!" Ben hissed as he directed Sam an let o their hiding spot.

As Cassie fought, she felt her own will to live slowly slipping away. Ringer had been shot first, so Cassie took over the commands. A few minutes later, Teacup screamed.

"CASSIE!" She clutched her stomach and fell to the ground as Cassie rushed over.

She tried to stop the bleeding, but she was to late. Teacup was dead. Cassie was angry. No, scratch that, she was pissed. She began shooting at the Others, not noticing when Tank and Poundcake went down.

"You sons of bitches!" She screamed as the last living member, Dumbo, was shot to the ground.

She shot the last Other, and it died. Her teammates were all dead.

"Teacup... Ringer... I'm so sorry." She placed a gentle kiss to each of their foreheads and headed back to Ben and Sam.

Ben rushed over.

"Where-?" He didn't have to finish, Cassie finished for him.

"Dead..." She felt silent tears stream down her cheeks.

Nightmares had plagued her all night. She looked around. All she could see was ash. Ash and some dust. She wiped her forehead which was covered in sweat. She took a deep breath to clear her head, but all that happened was choking. There were many chemicals in the air, along with the ash and dust. She breathed it in and began coughing, waking Ben up.
