I pray for an answer with the cold metal pressed against my cheek, praying also for an escape from this god forsaken place. This god forsaken place filled with cherished, beautiful, loving memories, memories that pain me to the core.
"Hello."
"Hi," I force a happy tone, "I'm looking into the apartment that you're renting in Sydney."
"Yes, the one in the town centre?"
"Yes that would be the one."
"Okay, it's-" I tune her out knowing that I would accept the prices no matter what they were "-is that okay with you?"
"Yes it's fine. When can I move in?"
"Anytime past tomorrow."
"Okay I'll be there the day after tomorrow then."
"Alright," she sounds sceptical, "the day after tomorrow then. I'll email you the details about payment later today."
"Yes that would be fantastic. Goodbye."
"Bye."
I put the phone down with relief. My escape, finally, after what seemed like forever but was merely a week, my escape was planned.

CheckI clutch this piece of paper as I rush through the airport. My flight to Sydney flying soon, I start to run. "Flight 204 to Sydney departing in 15 minutes, last call, flight 204 to Sydney." The people around me start to suffocate me. My chest constricts, I begin to breathe harder. No, not now. My terminal is just metres from me. One final push through the crowds and I slam my ticket down on the desk. The lady looks at me weird but nonetheless scans my ticket in and sends me on my way. On my way to my escape.

Authors note
I apologise if any of the airport scene is wrong, or if I have missed anything out. I am unsure of how they work as I have only ever been on a plane once and I was only 2 at the time, so I do not remember. Sorry.
