AYSHA'S POV; I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I began to speak softly. "When I was was little, life for me was pretty good. We lived in a middle class neighborhood and my father was an accountant at a bank, we weren't rich but we lived a desent lifestyle. And I went to a good school and had lots of friends but all that changed the night my father died, when I was ten a new family moved into our neighborhood and they were different from the other families that stayed in the community.
They were ghetto as most people call it. One day my parents were outside throwing a pool party in the backyard, when they showed up and started an argument with my father about why They weren't invited. My dad refused to let them in and when my father asked them to leave they started yelling and he threatened to call police, that's when I walked over and told him to not argue, that they weren't worth his breath and he forced them to leave.
later that day my dad was in the front yard when I heard gunshots and a car speed off.
They shot him and left him for dead. When the ambulance arrived it was too late.
Every since then things changed almost immediately, I learned that my father had left everything to me and my mother wasn't happy about that. My mother treated me badly after she learned about the will. My mother started beating me and doing drugs, Eventually she used up all the money except my inheritance, But she convinced the bank to turn the money over to her and things got worse. When she used all of it she started stealing; One night she was arrested and charged with felony theft. When we went to court I was asked to testify against her. I did and she spent five years in prison.

When I turned eighteen my mom was released and she has been slandering my name since.
I thought that things where looking up for me when I met a guy named Justin. When I first met him he was charming and kind, after he moved in with me his demeanor change drastically. He went from loving to abusive.
And two weeks ago I finally got away from him after years abuse thanks to Nicki. I will always be grateful for her help."
They stared at me with grief in their eyes and Nicki rushed over and embraced me in a tight hug while I sobbed.
"Baby I promise you will never go back."
She rubbed small circles on my back while I calmed down.
Nicki guided me out of the parlor and up the stairs to her room.
"Baby lay down and get some rest okay, stress is not good for a baby." She said as she pecked my lips and turned the lights out.
