It was the biker guy.
And his eyes were burning red, like a flame.
"Stupid kid," he muttered angrily, pushing down on my neck so that I had to gasp for air.
I struggled, trying to break free from his grip whilst trying to take in some air and gather enough energy to scream for help.
"P-please-d-don't-"
His eyes flashed angrily and he punched me in the stomach, making my eyes water in pain.
"Pathetic,"he spat, as though I was a disgusting thing. "To watch scum like you begging for your life is pathetic. Especially since you don't listen to us when we beg for our lives. Now you're getting what you deserve-"
He dropped me to the floor and I lay there, limp and shaking in terror. I tried to get up but it was no use; he foot collided with my stomach and I screamed out in pain, hoping that someone could hear me and call for help.
The biker guy kicked me repeatedly and I felt a burning sensation in my throat, causing me to cough.
A thick dark liquid escaped from my mouth and onto the pavement and I winced as I coughed up more, realising that I was losing blood.
"Stupid. Stinking. Filth!" he roared angrily, kicking me with each word he yelled.
I wasn't sure what he meant when he'd said that "you don't listen to us when we beg for our lives" and to be honest, I didn't care. All I wanted was to die out here and for this to all be over.
"Stupid little girl!" he yelled angrily and I watched, unable to move, as his leg lifted up one more time to kick me, though it was slightly blurry since my vision being covered with dancing black dots. My head throbbed but I could hardly feel the pain anymore. I was becoming numb to it and I couldn't feel anything.
He swung his foot towards me once more and I curled over, my face stained with blood and tears as I let out another scream.
And then suddenly the biker guy fell over with so much force that it looked like he'd been pushed.
I felt a hand on my arm and I wanted to run but I couldn't. I couldn't do anything right now, it was as though I was completely paralysed.
My eyes started to close but I tried not to let them. I wanted to fight back... I didn't want to die and I was afraid that if I closed my eyes, then I would never wake up again.
The biker grunted angrily and I saw the shadow of a man who seemed to be holding something in one hand and towering over the biker guy, who let out a yelp.
Then without warning, I felt as though I was flying. A pair of arms was lifting me off the ground and holding on to me. Were they going to kill me?
I wanted so badly to tell this person to get it over with and that I didn't want to suffer anymore but I couldn't.
The mangled screams of the biker suddenly rang out and echoed down the alleyway, bouncing off the walls like a bouncing ball, making it seem louder than it really was.
A sense of relief washed over me. Just knowing that the biker had gotten a taste of his own medicine made me happy and if I were to die, I'd at least die knowing that they weren't around to hurt anyone else.
I listened to the muffled sounds of voices and I could feel the words vibrating in the chest of the person holding me, although I couldn't understand what they were saying.
My lips started to move again and a quiet, weak voice came out, but I couldn't understand myself.
The person carrying me spoke and although I couldn't see their face, I could just make out what they were saying. Their voice was warm and sweet, like honey.
"I've got you now."
