The rest of the day sorta flew by and pretty soon it was study hall; my favorite class of the day. Kalissa and I took our seats at the back of the room. I pulled out my homework and turned to Kalissa. She turned to me and we started to chat. "So, what do you need to tell me?" She asked quietly as she started a math problem. I held in a giggle before telling her about Parker. "Ok, well Parker came to my house last night and he said that he had a problem that he needed my help with. He was acting like it was the most life threatening, serious problem that he had ever needed help with and so I invited him in." Kalissa started to giggle and I continued on with the story. "He sat down at my kitchen table, and it was silent for a few minutes and then I was like, ok, um, what's your problem. And he looked me straight in the eye and asked me to sing for him. He's apparently writing a song and he wants me to sing it at the talent show. I'm not quite sure of all of the details yet but I started laughing  because it was too funny! He was building the suspense up like it was some sort of dramatic tv show and it was as though he was asking me for help on his math homework!" Kalissa doubled over laughing and I joined her. Our entire study hall was talking and the moniter didn't really care; she was just on her computer typing away at the keyboard.

Kalissa looked over at me and she and I cracked up again. "You were right! That is so weird!" She said between laughs. I smiled and then we continued with a light conversation about clothes and fashion as we did our homework. I made it through all of my math problems (with a little help from Kalissa of course; she was an honors student and that made my life so much easier.) all of my English writing and all of my science problems, just as class was dismissed.

We had lunch together next; so we walked to our lockers together. I stopped at my locker with Kalissa leaning up on the one next to me. I grabbed my lunch and made my way to her locker where she grabbed hers. Then we proceded to the cafeteria.

I looked around for an open table and found an empty one...Two feet away from the populars table. Oh boy...I thought as Kalissa and I walked over. We sat down and almost immediately some of the populars gave us death glares. I scoffed to myself at the thought of them attempting to beat me up. I felt like screaming at them THIS IS AMERICA PEOPLE!!!! I AM ALLOWED TO SIT MY BUTT WHEREVER I WANT TO!!!!!!! Ha, that would show their plastered faces and abrecrombie clothes. One time my mom had asked me if I had ever wanted to be popular. Looking at all of those girls now just made me want to puke. I was NEVER going to be one of them. Not even if the unicorn apocolypse had come and an angry unicorn tried to make me. Hanging out with those girls would be worse than coming across a pack of angry and hungry wolves in the middle of a dark forest at midnight during a thunderstorm.

Soon I was tackled by an unknown force and engulfed in one of the biggest bear hugs ever known to mankind. "LEXA!!!!!!" The person (I had come to the conclusion that the mysterious force was a person and not yoda using the force on me) screamed in my ear. I looked up to find my friend Zoey still squeezing me to death. "Zo! Can't.... Breathe..." I said overexaggerating my gasps for air. She laughed and sat down. "Sorry! I'm just so happy to see you!" I smiled at her and Zoey sat down. After she was seated some of our other friends all came over to sit. Sam, Kiera, Elise, Emma, and Colleen all sat down. Conversation, laughter and just some generalized fooling around started up soon afterwords and I was having a great time enjoying my lunch. I glanced over at the populars table and saw that they were all staring at me and my friends with evil looks plastered across their already plastered faces. They didn't have very convincing glares with all of their make up and abrecrombie attire though. Becasue, (and I'm being totally honest right now)

I think my bunny slippers just ran for cover.

So yes, barbies, though you may be pretty, you don't scare me. BEAT THAT SUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!

The wonderful images of those girls trying to be scary were suddenly interrupted when I saw who joined them for lunch. I nearly died.

Because that person was Emmett.

And he was looking straight at me.

Oh Joy.
