P.O.V Charlie

We ventured from band to band, and merch stall to merch stall. Soon enough it was 6:20 pm and time for the meet and greet for All Time Low, and after they were going to do an acoustic show. Excited is an understatement.

“Ready for this mysterious?” Mystery man look at me smirking, I may or may not have told him about  my love for the band.  “Yes I’m ready.” I playfully smirked at him and took our place in line. Only fifteen people in front of us. Screams erupted from the line, I snapped my head up to see the four of them sitting down at the table. Without the consent of my mind, my hand reached out to my side and grabbed mystery mans hand. As soon as I realized what I did I blushed deep red. I went to pull my hand away, but he held my hand tighter.

He bent down and whispered in my ear. “It’s fine, I don’t mind holding your hand.” I blushed an even deeper red, and mouthed thank you because I couldn’t form coherent words. Three more people, I pulled out my picture of them, my letter for Alex, and my drawings for the each of them to keep. Tabby went first, and got her CD signed and said thank you. I wish I was as confident as her. Mystery Man pushed me first. I started to object but it was too late.

Rian was first, I walked up to the table and handed him the picture. “I drew this for you to keep. And can you sign this?” He smiled and took the picture from me and smiled. “This picture is awesome! You’re really good at drawing.” I smiled. He took the picture of them and signed by his head. And passed it on. “Thank you for signing it.” He smiled “Thanks for the picture.”

Next was Zack. I handed him the picture I drew of him as he was signing the picture. “Woah this picture is great! Do I get to keep it? I’m keeping it anyway...” I laughed “Yes it is for you to keep.” He smiled and passed the picture along.

When I approached Jack he was acting like he was jerking off. “Having fun there Jack?” He looked up and laughed. “Yes I was but you disturbed me!” I chuckled a sorry and handed him the picture I drew of him. (which consisted of dicks in the background) “Nice touch of the dicks. This picture is fab-u-lous!” He said the last part in a gay guy voice. “Thank you for the picture!” I laughed “Thank you for the dick jokes.” He puffed out his chest and mumbled ‘at least someone appreciates it.’ glaring at Matt Flyzik.

I slowly scooted toward Alex. Terrified I might break down, i keep my eyes down and put the picture in front of him. He fake scoffed “WHAT I DON’T GET A HELLO OR A SMILE!” I looked up at him smiling, tears clearly evident in my eyes. “Hello Alex...” He looked at me and smiled “Thats better! This is a beautiful picture. Did you draw it?” I giggled a little and nodded a yes, not trusting my voice, that it might crack. “I don’t see this as fair, do you hate me is that what this is?!?!” I laughed and shook my head “Here this letter might explain, long story short, your music has helped me through a lot.” Well if I didn’t have tears in my eyes before I definitely did now. I looked up through my eyelashes to see him smiling at me. He got up and hugged me, now I had silent tears running down my face. He bent down and whispered in my ear “I didn’t plan on it but now at the acoustic show, I’m going to play Therapy, for you.” I looked up at him and smiled so wide my cheeks hurt. “Thank you for everything.” I got my poster from him and left the tent.

Tabby was outside waiting for me by my dad. As I walked up she immediately freaked out. “Why are you crying, are you okay? What took you so long?” I put my hand over her mouth to silence her. “Alex, I started to cry and he comforted me and told me he was going to play Therapy for me.” Next Mystery Man walked up to us and hugged me immediately. “Are you okay? I saw you break down in there.” I slapped his arm playfully “I did not break down. I simply started to cry a little.” He entwined our fingers and turned to Tabby. “Shall we go?” And started off to the acoustic tent. I looked back at Tabby to see her mouth wide open looking at our hands. I shrugged and continued the  journey to the tent. We sat right in front, the order went Tabby, me, Mystery Man.

Soon enough Jack, Zack, and Alex took their seats. Alex looked at me and smiled and I returned the gesture. They started off with time bomb, and weightless. Then Jack and Alex bantered for a little bit, then continued with remembering sunday, then in between songs, Alex started making a speech. “So today I met someone who inspires me greatly. So in her honor and anyone elses that we might have helped along the way. This song is called Therapy it goes something like this.” Everyone started to cheer, and they started to play. Tears welled up in my eyes again. And I silently sang along.

“Myren.” mystery man whispered in my ear. “What? What are you-”

“My names  Myren.”

“Why did you tell me that?”

“Because I wanted too. I hope to see more of you.”

“Charlie. My names Charlie.”

Just as Therapy ended, Tabby turned to us, “Mysterious, what are we gonna see-”

“Charlie, call me Charlie now. He ruined the game.” I said smirking at Myren.

“Well Charlie who’s next?” I looked at the time and saw that all we had left was All Time Low left.

“These faggots, at 8:20 pm.  So we have an hour left to chill. Oh wait, Of Mice And Men first, right before All Time Low. So lets go get our spots.”

We walked to the amphitheater and got up to the barricade. The first band played. 35 minutes later Of Mice and Men started, the crowd was crazy. They played a crazy set, and when they ended the sun was going down. I turned to Myren and smiled “This is the greatest day ever! I don’t want it to end.” He looked at me and his grey eyes glistened with excitement. “So lets keep it going.”

“What? How do we keep it going?”

“I’m staying at a hotel tonight stay with me!”

“My dad and Tabby though.”

“Tell your dad to get a room because its to late to drive home and get him to drunk. Come to my room and party with me.”

I thought about it for a bit. “Yeah, I already told him to get one, so yeah. I think he booked one, this could work!” I turned to Tabby and explained what we were going to do tonight. Her eyes light up and glistened in excitement. “Charlies turning into a bad girl, I like it.” I laughed her comment off and turned back to the stage. All Time Low started and it rocked! We left the amphitheater and went to the car. Me and Myren switched numbers and gave me his room number. My dad drove us to the hotel we were staying at (same as the one Myren is staying at coincidentally) got our room.

“Dad go on to bed, we’re just gonna go to the pool for a little bit.” He looked at me questionably but luckily shook it off. “Sure just don’t be a dickbag and do something stupid.”

“Sure thing bye dad!” We ran out the room and to the elevator. Got to room 435 and knocked, we could faintly hear music and laughing.

Myren opened the door “Hello ladies. Ready to party? Of course you are lets go!”

With that we entered the room full of at least thirty people.

“Wow.”
