I squeezed my eyes shut, I had been staring at the clock for about five minutes straight. I was currently laying with Myren on one of the small uncomfortable bench couch things. Amy and Josh had taken the kids home to get some rest. So for right now it was just us. I heard quiet snoring so I knew Myren was asleep. It has been a while since the doctor was out here to talk to us.
I felt Myren shift behind me, so I turned around to face him. "De Ja Vu isn't it?"
I nodded slightly, but stayed silent. Myren kissed my forehead slightly and hugged me tighter. "She's going to okay. I promise." I just nodded. I haven't talked since he got here. Which was roughly three hours ago.
Suddenly a doctor walked through the doors. I immediately got up. "Your mothers going to be okay. She had a small blood clot which caused the heart attack. We went in and cleaned it out and she did really good. Shes being currently moved into her room in ICU, you can go up and see her now if you would like."
"Yes we would thank you." We followed the doctor to the waiting room just outside her door. "Wait here until a nurse comes and gets you. She is still sedated right now, so she won't be awake while you are in there." I nodded, and took a seat. I pulled out my phone and called Amy.
(on the phone)
Amy: Hello? Did a doctor talk to you?
Charlie: Yeah they are getting her settled into her room right now. She did fine in surgery. We can see her right now. You should come. Leave the kids though.
A: Okay. Im leaving now.
(end of conversation)'
I turned to Myren and hugged him. "I told you she would be ok." I just smiled and hugged him tighter.
About ten minutes later Amy walked off the elevator and sat in the chair next to us. We stayed silent. Five more minutes later a nurse walked out of her room. "You can go see her now." We followed her into the room. She layed there, tubes attached everywhere. A small machine beeping every scouple of seconds. The nurse was talking but I comprehended nothing. She left the room. We just stood there. Myren rugged my shoulder a bit, then walked me out of the room, and to the elevator. Amy was on the phone with Josh, catching him up. We walked to our separate cars and got in. Amy drove home, while Myren and I went to my house. He called me and we set our phones on speaker but stayed silent most of the way. We pulled up and got out and went upstairs, and straight to bed.
I fell asleep almost immediately.
Tomorrow, would hopefully bring good news.
