Chapter 1

I don’t know why the ghost chose me, but I do know that it is my job  to get her to stop killing people. Her name is Lilith, just Lilith no last or middle name. She thinks of ways to kill people and I being the only one who could see or hear her had to put up with her moping about. She had bright red hair that she always had in a ponytail and it hung just over her shoulder, she had really dark brown eyes and was short. Lilith was 14 years old and you’d think it funny for a 14year old to be thinking of ways to kill people.

My name is Kayla Holly Bell and you may have guessed it but I’m a ghost helper, I help ghosts before the ghost hunters come and try to kill them. Lilith had chosen me to be her help and we had been working together for 2 months now.

We weren’t getting anywhere this girl was stubborn! All she did was find creative way to kill people. It’s like there was something different about her, a secret that she didn’t tell anyone. Ghost are meant to tell their helpers everything. That’s when it hit me, I never found out how Lilith died and why she hadn’t told me anything about her. All I knew was that she was 14 and was only thinking of ways to kill people.

I decided that it was time to stop that ghost and get her to move on. I walked into the yard to see her writing in a note book, probably about killing people. I looked around to make sure no one was looking at me and think she’s a weird one talking to herself.

“Lilith, why haven’t you ever told how you died” I questioned

All I got as an answer was a sigh.

“That doesn’t matter, all that matters is I find a way to kill these people” Lilith responded.

“yes it does, how am I meant to help you if you can’t tell me anything?”   I said rather frustrated.

“Because you wouldn’t understand even if I told you” she snapped shut her notebook and disappeared into nothing.

Great I thought now I’d never get the answer I needed. I still didn’t understand it was like if she was still somewhat human? But she couldn’t be she was dead she was a ghost, a ghost who didn’t die? It was impossible. How would a human had so many ghost traits and not be dead it just doesn’t happen.

I sighed, got to my feet and walked back inside. I needed a shower it had been a long day and I was tired. I dragged my tired body down the hall and into the bathroom, I ran the shower and water came pouring out of it, I quickly slipped out of my clothes while it warm up and then I stepped in. The warm water soothing my aching body, I wished it wasn’t so much effort being a ghost helper. If only Lilith had chosen another ghost helper and not me. Only ghosts chose their helper and she chose me. I still don’t know why, it was beginning to frustrate me. I got out of the shower dried and put on some jammies. I walked into the kitchen for the house was quiet. It usually was, my parents worked late so it was normally just me until about 11. I made some dinner and watched some tv before turning out the lights and going to bed.
