The Killing Ghost

Chapter 3

I walked into the room I would be staying in with my bags and put them on the empty beds. There were two girls talking on their beds and then they saw me and stopped. They started walking towards me and I felt a bit weird. They circled me and I let my long brown hair hide my face. They then stopped in front of me and told me I saw perfect. How was I perfect I’m far from perfect? The girls then started to explain your hair is long beautiful and straight, you have lovely blue eyes, you are skinny but not to fat and you are the right height not to tall not to short. I told them I was not perfect and they kept telling me otherwise. After a minute or so the girls realised they had not introduced themselves, the shorter girl with blonde hair and blue eyes said that her name was Jessie and she pointed to the other girl who was a bit taller than me said that her name was Kirsty. Kirsty was tall and she had long light brown hair with green eyes.

They girls where really friendly and explaining how everyone was nice and we had school for 3 hours every day because orphanages are different for the olden days. They told me that they 17 and 18 year olds share a room and when before they turn 19 they are allow going out and apply for university. I had never thought about going to university because I thought I would be spending the rest of life helping and saving the wonder ghost. Talking about ghosts I thought of Lilith and I wondered if she would be able to find me. My guess is she would, ghosts always do.

I started to unpack and Kirsty and Jessie left to go and help the younger children. The suddenly when I was placing my Pyjamas under my pillow Lilith appeared. She scared the life out of me. You are lucky nobody was in here I whispered. She said that she made sure everyone had left first. Thankfully I thought. I told her that I had to help her and fast she had only 3 days before a ghost hunter would come after her. She did not seem too worried, I do not understand. I would be pretty scared if someone was trying to hunt me down and kill me.  I went and sat on chair by the window. Please tell me something that can help me save you.  Lilith sighed and sat down in the spare chair beside me and began to tell me everything.

When Lilith had told me everything she finished by saying that is everything I can tell you, which is everything apart from one thing which I cannot tell you. Before I could protest Jessie and Kirsty walked through the door and Lilith disappeared into nothing again. Then Kirsty asked if I wanted to join them for dinner I nodded and walked towards them.

At we at roast lamb and I took the time to get to know Jessie and Kirsty because I am guessing I will be spend a lot of time with them and also trying to help Lilith. I found out that Jessie had been there since she was 8 and Kirsty since she was 12. Kirsty had an older Brother who was 19 and Jessie had a younger sister who was 12. I am glad that they the girls are really nice to me because otherwise I would be really sad and probably run away.

After dinner we had to help tidy up. We cleared away all of the dishes and brought them into the kitchen so worker can wash them as we can use them in the morning. When we had cleared away all of the dirty dishes we walked back to our room and I decided to take a shower. I grabbed my towel, pyjamas and my toiletries.

I walked to the bathroom which was just down the hall. I ran the water and slipped out of my clothes and got into the shower. I began to cry. I can’t believe my parents have left me. I miss them so much it is nearly the holidays and I was so looking forward to telling them things that have been happening but some stupid person went and killed them. Now I will never see them again and I will never had any family watch me grow and if I ever have children I will not have any family to tell them. I am going to miss them so much they had to go and leave me all alone forever and ever? At least if anyone were to come in they wouldn’t see me cry.

I was still crying when I got out of the shower. I looked in the mirror and my eyes were all red. I dried my soaking body and put on my pyjamas. I brushed my teeth and hair and headed back to my room. Cleaned up all of my things and started to read one of my mother’s books. After about 15 minutes Jessie and Kirsty went for their showers. When they left I got out of bed and went to sit in one of the chairs by the window. I opened the curtain and watched and started crying some more.

When all my tears had run out I felt a hand on my shoulder an expected it to belong to Kirsty or Jessie but instead the too belonging to the girls it was Lilith’s. She hugged me and told me she was sorry. She sat in the chair beside me and opened her notebook she told me that she would tell me would share some of her ways to kill people. These are some of them

-          Death by stabbing in back with fork

-          Run them over with a steam roller

-          Death by tanning bed

-          Death by chocolate

-          And another thing is death by bubble wrap.

She one creative ghost I will give her that, even if is for killing people. I had a feeling that I was becoming better friends and soon she would have to tell me that something that she was not or could not tell me. About after 5 minutes we decided to go to bed which was lucky because that is when Jessie and Kirsty walked in we all said goodnight and we went to bed. I could not sleep giving everything that had happened but I was tried and soon I drifted off to sleep.
