How about... YES!

As I opened my eyes I could see a really weak sunlight through the leaves of the trees in my backyard. I yawned covering my eyes, but my elbow hit something. When I looked next to me, Ross was still there, sleeping. I was like… really surprised so I took my phone from the ground and checked the hour… 7:25 AM, Sunday. I slept all the night in a hammock with my neighbor!

I shook Ross by his shoulder, and he started to stretch. “Ross. Wake up!” – I say kinda worried. “Rowr! Mom just 5 more minutes” – He says growling and turning back. “No do not… ” – I try to warn him…but too late! I fell to the ground.  I was in the ground looking at Ross with an upset looking, and then I pushed him with my legs in order to make him wake up. He also fell but I softened his fall. –“What!? What happened?” – Ross says trying to wake up. “Move!! You’re heavy”– I say pushing him away. Ross looked around still confused “We…”– He says inconclusively. “We stayed all night…”– I say completing his sentence. We looked each other and he started laughing, few seconds later I laughed too. “Why are we… laughing?” – Ross asks almost out of air. “I do not know, you started…Stop laughing!” – I say rolling in the ground. Suddenly Ross stopped laughing and looked around and with a really serious voice said “Mika, really stop laughing!” – He says looking worried around. “Why?” – I asked still laughing. “No Mika! Really Stop! Where’s puppy!?” – He says standing.  I stood next to him and looked around really scared. “Is not here!” – I whisper really worried. “You left it right here, it has to be here!” – Ross says trying to calm me down. We started looking around, but puppy was gone.  I covered my face and I started sobbing. “Mika, it couldn’t go that far, is newborn!” – Ross explains taking my hands. I nodded. “Maybe we should ask your aunt or uncle if they have seen your puppy” – He says touching my face. “Okay then…”– I say.

When I opened the house door, I found my Auntie in front of me. She smiled and said “Don’t worry my dear, your puppy is in the living room, it’s still sleeping” She says stroking my cheek.  I took a deep breath and hugged her. “Thank you so much!” – I greet.  We went into the house together also Ross and we say puppy, Ross and I had a big relief. “Yeah, I took it here when you two fell asleep on MY hammock” – Auntie explains looking at us. “Sorry…”– Ross and I say at unison. “Well, I gotta go. My parents might be worried” – Ross says smiling. “Ah! I called your mom last night, she said it was okay but she wanted you there before 9 AM” – Auntie says tapping Ross’ shoulder. I smiled at him when my Uncle Harry came down from upstairs. “’Sup buddy” – He says to Ross with a high five. Then he kissed my forehead. “Buddy, you staying for breakfast?”– Uncle asks taking a sit. “That would be wonderful, I prepared pancakes, and I heard you like them” – Auntie proposes.  I saw Ross face and I knew he wanted to stay, so I invited him too. At the end he accepted. I went upstairs and changed my clothes.  When I came back I saw Ross and my family eating together, it was such a good view.

“Ross would you like to try the pancakes” – My Auntie offers. “Sure, I’d love to” – He comments. Uncle and I saw each other awkwardly and stayed quiet. As Ross was adding some whipped cream and Nutella to his pancakes, Uncle and I were a bit nervous. This is the thing, my Auntie is awesome and she does everything well, but nobody is that perfect. There’s something she can’t do and that’s pancakes, or something that seems likes a dessert, because it tastes horrible.  When Ross put the first piece in his mouth, I beg him not to say something. I saw how his face was changing from happy to a completely feeling of misery. Uncle kicked him on his leg under the table; he didn’t want Ross to say anything that could hurt his wife.” So Ross… Is it delicious?” –Auntie asks smiling. Ross looked at us and we nodded. “So good… I-I can’t even s-swallow…”– Ross fakes doing his best. “Thank you! I’m so happy. Neither Mika or Harry likes pancakes, this makes me feel better” – She says turning back. I took a napkin and I made Ross spit that, then I took the pancakes and hide it.

30 minutes later after I only ate toast and orange juice the phone rang and Uncle Harry answered, he nods a couple of times and then hung up. “Okay, I wasn’t paying attention but I think your friends, Anna and Mery are coming…”– He says drinking juice. Ross and I sat at the porch and talked a lot before Rocky appeared. He waved at us and I waved back, I looked away and Ross pushed me with his shoulder. “And now? What you gonna do?” – He asks whispering. I looked at his eyes and said “You mean, with Rocky? I don’t know exactly, I’m scared.” “Why? He doesn’t bite… well not always” – Ross jokes. I laughed. ”Isn’t that… I’ve never had a boyfriend and I think it scares me the fact that I’d probably mess it up because…I-I don’t know how the girlfriends should act…Maybe its weird” – I explain playing with my hair.

“Well maybe, you just need practice… Tell me, if I were your boyfriend what would you give me for my birthday?” – Ross proposes. I thought a bit and I said in response “Well I’d plan something, but at first thought I think I’d bake you a cake and I weave you a beanie or a scarf… Something like that… I don’t know”  “Sounds good… Would you play videogames with me “your boyfriend”? ” – He asks. “Sure, I’d even let you win. ” – I say pushing him. “Ha! Yeah sure! Would you go to the places he likes even if you don’t like them?” – He asks again. “I think yes, if that makes him happy, I would” – I say in response. “It seems that you have potential, maybe you just need practice.” – Ross admits ruffling my bangs. “Ross I’m NOT a puppy, stop ruining my bangs!” – I complain. He ruffled it even more. Then he left and Rocky arrived.

“Hi there” – I say standing. “How’s it going?” – Rocky says taking his hair off his face. “Uh… How is going with the rehearsals?” – I say taking a step closer. “Good, we already have all the song for our tour” – Rocky says smiling. I looked around and I saw Auntie in the window looking at us and Rydel and Riker in the other side of the street. “Come with me” – I say as I take Rocky’s hand. I took him to the park, where was really quiet and out of people. “Oh! Here’s really quiet, I like it” – I say looking at him. Rocky looked around and smiled – “Here’s where we met” – I smiled and blush a little, it made me happy that he could remember that. “Yeah! We hit your head with the ball…”– Rocky laughs. “You made me unconscious! What are you laughing at?” – I say also laughing. “I don’t remember a lot after I fell, but I remember you were so relieved that I speak English… Then you apologized and took my hand…”– I say. “That was the first connection I had with you” – I continue taking his hand. “I had a shiver when I did it, I knew you were special.” – Rocky says touching my hair. “If the offer still goes on… I’d say yes.” – I said, totally blushed, touching his face. “You- You mean… Ha… Really?” – Rocky says enthusiastic while he grabs my hands. I nodded and smiled. Rocky smiled and hugged me with all his strength, then I saw him and I was completely decided to kiss him again so I stood in my tiptoes and Rocky leaned to my height and took me by my waist and… “MIKA!”– Someone yelled out loud. Rocky and I broke apart quickly. (Why this keeps happening?) I looked around and I saw Anna and Mery coming to meet us. I greeted them but they were stunned because they were in front of one of their idols. “How is it going? Are you Mika’s friends?” – Rocky asks leaning his head on mine and hugging me from the back. “Y-Yes… Uh… I’m Anna and s-she’s Mery… Hi” –Anna tried to say. Rocky kissed my forehead and he said goodbye to us. “Omg! Mika we just met Rocky Mark Lynch” – They said fangirling. “You also just met my boyfriend…” Mery looked at me confused and asked “What you mean, we just… OHHHH!” – Both girls yelled.
