'Good' News

I stumbled out of Black Ship; still finding it hard to believe this. I walked up to Ryu's house. And sure enough, guess who was there selling vegetables?

No more than that evil, selfish and sly criminal.

Ryu's dad: "Can i help yo-"

"...."

Ryu's dad: "You look familiar...wait a minute-"

"You have a wife? And kids?"

Ryu's dad: "!" his face drained of all colour and his expression changed to shock.

"You're disgusting."

Ryu's dad: "Listen-"

Rosie: "Mummy! I've been looking everywhere for you!"

Ryu's dad: "!" he looked scared for a second before stuttering out the question "How old is she?"

"2." I lied.

Ryu's dad: "Oh." Relief washed over him.

"Come on." I beckoned Rosie as i walked away.

As i held her hand, she said "Why did you lie mummy? I'm 3!"

I whipped around to see if he heard her. And he did.

Ryu's dad: "WAIT!" he stepped out behind the counter making a box of eggplants collapse and block his way.

I took this opportunity and ran away with Rosie back to Black Ship.

[BLACKSHIP - 10PM]

*Sob*

Jo: "..."

"I don't know what to do..."

Jo: "I can't believe he would ever do that...i can't believe i called him my friend." He spat in disgust. "Don't worry; he can't do anything to you." He held my hand. "I'll protect you."

"Thanks Jo." I replied as he wiped away my tears.

Rosie was with my mum and dad at their apartment. I was with Jo, trying to recover from the surprise.

*Ring ring*

Jo's phone rang and he slowly answered it to receive shouting over the phone. Loud enough for me to hear.

Ichigo: "JO, GET HERE! RYU AND HIS DAD ARE FIGHTING! LITERALLY! THEY'RE PUNCHING AND EVERYTHING, IT'S GOING OUT OF CONTROL!"

Jo: "I'm coming!"

Ichigo: "HURRY UP- RYU PUT THAT GLASS BOTTLE DOWN! CHILL YOUR-" and with that he hung up along with other screaming and shouting and chaos in the background.

"I'm coming too!"

[TIME SKIP - RYU'S HOUSE]

I arrived to witness Ryu and his dad, both bleeding that bruised.

Ryu: "YOU'RE NOT MY DAD! I HATE YOU!"

Ryu's dad: "SHUT UP! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! I'M YOUR ELDER AS WELL AS YOUR DAD, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO SHOUT AT ME!"

Ryu: "LOOK WHO'S TALKING ABOUT RIGHTS!"

Ryu's dad: "YOU DON'T-" he accidentally made eye contact with me and stopped.

"..."

Ryu's dad: "Listen-" he grabbed my wrist and Jo punched him as soon as his fingertips made contact with my skin.
