-Kellin's POV-

I woke up, immediately feeling a sharp pain in my stomach. I groaned, trying to sit up. I thought for a minute, trying to recall what happened. Oh yeah. Step *ss happened. God, I'm glad I'm not actually related to him.

I forced myself to stand up, keeping a hand on the wall for support. I walked over to the window a few feet away, and looked down at the driveway. Good. I was alone. Step *ss must've left after he "punished" me. I walked over to my desk, and grabbed my phone that was laying on top of my sketch pad. I sat down on my bed, trying not to cause too much pain in my stomach. I sat against the wall, unlocking my phone. I went to contacts, and clicked on Vic's name. I held the phone up to my ear, praying he wasn't busy.

Ring...

Ring...

Ring...

"Hey, Kells. Are you okay?" Vic asked, sounding relieved, but still worried at the same time.

"I'm..I just n-need you t-to come over." I said, trying not to break down. "I-I need y-you." I said.

"Okay. I'll be over there in 10 minutes. Just stay where you are okay, Kells. You'll be okay." Vic said, making me feel a little better. "I'm gonna hang up. I'll be there soon."

"Bye." I said.

"Bye." He said, just before hanging up.

Oh God, Vic hurry.

After about 10 minutes, I heard Vic's car pull into the driveway, and before I knew it, he was running into my room. "Oh my God." He said, running over to me. He pulled me into a small embrace. I gasped in pain, and he pulled back right away. "I'm sorry." He said, sincerely. "I'm gonna go get the first aid kit from your bathroom okay."

"Okay." I said in a voice almost like a whisper.

Vic rushed into the bathroom, and came out a minute later with a big first aid kit. He sat down beside me, and opened the kit. He grabbed the spray stuff that stings on cuts. I don't know what the h*ll it's called. But he put that on my jaw, and let me tell ya. It stung like a b*tch. Once he was done cleaning up my jaw, he said "Take off your shirt, Kell." I did as he said, wincing as I pulled it over my head. Vic used the spray stuff on my stomach, too. Then, he grabbed some bandages out of the first aid kit, and told me to sit up straight.

I did as he said, and he started wrapping the bandages around my stomach. I was almost sure I had a broken rib, but I was certain I wasn't going to a hospital. Once my stomach was wrapped up enough, Vic tore the bandage. It was one of those bandages where you could just put it against itself, and it'd stick. Vic pushed the end of the bandage against my side. "F*ck." I muttered.

"Sorry." Vic said. He put everything back in the kit, and took it back to the bathroom. When he came back, he sat beside me on the bed, and carefully pulled me in for a hug. "It's okay, Kells. I'm here."

And with that, I broke down. The tears started flowing, and they wouldn't stop. I just sat there, crying in Vic's arms for what seemed like forever. Eventually, I pulled away and said "Thank y-you so m-much, Vic. I d-don't d-deserve you. I'm sorry f-for breaking down, a-and being so n-needy all the t-time an-"

"Hey. No. You have nothing to be sorry for. You deserve me. You deserve everything good you can get. You don't need to be sorry for crying. Everyone cries at some point. You just needed to let it out. You aren't needy, Kell. You are anything but. You are my best friend, and I honestly have no idea what I'd do if you weren't there for me. So that's why I'm here for you. I'd do anything for you. It's okay. I promise."

"Thank you, Vic. I couldn't ask for a better best friend." I said, hugging him.

"No problem." He said, pulling away from me. "You should get some rest, Kells." He helped me lay down, and get comfortable. Or as comfortable as you can get with a broken rib.

Just as he was about to leave, I said "Stay for tonight. I-If you want to."

He looked back at me, and smiled. "Of course." I scooted back to make room for him. He laid down, facing me. Neither of us had bothered to undress, considering it was almost midnight, and we were both exhausted. Vic looked at me, our faces inches apart. "Goodnight, Kells." He said, looking into my eyes.

"Goodnight, Vic." I replied, closing my eyes. I attempted to go to sleep, but I couldn't help the fact that I was completely aware that Vic was inches away from me, sleeping. I couldn't help the fact that I could feel his body heat. I couldn't help the fact that I might have liked it. I mean, it's not like we haven't slept this close before, but this felt different. It felt...right? I don't know.

Eventually, I drifted off to sleep, thinking:

Why am I feeling this way?
