In the Dark Chapter 2

Alycia's POV

I was going to Italy and other places too. I got to travel my parents won't care ever since my little brother Stanley died in an attempted robbery gone bad they barely noticed me. It'd been four years now he was by eight by now if the fates hadn't stepped in. I saw my friends running over and I ran head long into Mr. Tiny bowling him over. Everyone dog piled and we laughed ourselves silly before we stood up. " No homework", we called doing a victory dance. " Come on library time", I said cheerily. We went to the library and the librarian left us in charge. We blasted music and went sailing down the rows of books on carts. I won and I rewarded myself with making them all bow before me. I went down to my locker at lunch in a terrific mood I was basically skipping through the daisies. I felt like before this I was pushing up daisies. I hummed Can't Hold Back as I grabbed the stuff I needed for the next two periods. " What was that in class?", Katy said stomping over. I ignored her and closed my locker then left leaving her dumbfounded. " Lava wait up", Tiny said picking me up and spinning me around. " I have a lighter in my pocket wannabe", I said standing up again. " Does it contain alcohol and pretty colors", he said excitedly.

" Yep", I said and he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and we headed upstairs. We sat at our spot on the floor and made plans where to visit in every country and where to eat and sleep. The trip just told us how long we had the rest was up to us we just got tickets and free trips to Disneyland and any amusement parks we wanted it was free other than the souvenirs and shopping. We got Visas from the mayor himself it was kind of an honor. " Alright in England we have to see Big Ben", Terry announced. " I'm not leaving without seeing Buckingham Palace", Melanie said shaking her head. " So we do Big Ben day one, Buckingham Palace day two, The City Centre the next day and on the final day we go shopping at the flea market downtown here", I said showing them directions on my Google Earth map in my iPod. " That's why you're the best", Melanie smiled widely. " Okay now in France, Eiffel Tower from the rooftops day one, French beaches day two, tour the countryside day three and food tasting day four", I continued as Snow wrote it down. " You read my mind", Terry said relieved. We continued to plan out the trip and I got up at the sound of the bell and headed to the main room for my spare. " See you after school we need to shop then pack", Beverly said then they all headed to Info Tech. I got each of my teachers to sign a form and then took it to the office to get them to sign it. I handed in my books since I'd been gone for six months and promised to do it all online. I listened to Into the Night as I wrote in my diary.

Dear Diary,

I love this song and this day. Sure it had a rough start and I have to pay damages on a white board but I'm getting out of here! I always wanted a vacation I just expected it to stay a dream. No one can ruin my day not even HIM!!!

I closed my diary and just listened to music and it slowly lulled me to sleep which of course didn't last long.

" Alycia", someone said shaking my shoulder. " Later", I said slapping his hand away. " Come on wake up", the guy insisted. " Jeremy go screw your girlfriends", I said looking up and glaring at him. " Come on that's not fair I thought we were friends", he said coolly. " I also thought miracles didn't happen I'm getting out tonight which means everyone needs to find a new go to girl because I'm not planning on coming back", I said then got up and left. Did I just mouth off Jeremy Carlyle out loud?! I went to my locker and then went to find Melanie quickly as possible. " Mel", I said finding her in the library. " You look like you just hit your sister", she said interested.

" I just mouthed off Jeremy", I said pulling her into a different aisle when I saw Katy walk in looking murderous. " Oh you are so dead", she laugh whispered. " I know like burnt popcorn dead", I said.
