Okay, so today was the first Cross Country race of the season....I over-stretched my hip before I started warming up.

Side note: An IT band is a muscle that runs from the middle of my back, through my hip and down the side of my thigh to my knee. Mine has been tight for as long as I can remember; when I was 7 I have to go to physical therapy 3 times a week to get stretched out. When I walk the band tightens and snaps over my hip bone like a rubber band. It causes pain and makes it hard to run on certain hard surfaces and strains my flexibility.

When I told my coach that I was feeling some pain, he said, "It's your decision, just don't make it worse if you decide to race." Because I spent most of freshman track season sitting out of races, I decided to run in this one. Unfortunately, that was a mistake and I was fighting the urge to stop running, or at least limp a little to relieve the tension. I pushed through the race without stopping, but I could barely walk after I finished. Hopefully, I will be able to train during practice tomorrow and run without pain. It would totally suck if I had to take a few races off because that eliminates my chance of traveling to invites in Southern California.

So Tyler and I have been great and it is obvious that he is trying to open up to me. Earlier, I asked him what he thought of me and he said "I think about how I want to go out with you." I know that he said it through text, so he might not be improving that much, but I think we are getting closer to our destination. I really hope that he is more affectionate this time though, because with all of these Wattpad books, I am feeling pretty unloved. Seriously, I really want a hug right now...

This is so short, but I need to give my body time to rest before tomorrow. Until next time, peace!
