Kattilina's POV

I was terrified.

Two people were flanking me on each side and Mr. Hunky (still didn't know his name) was leading the way to what I assumed was the pack house.

I wanted to cry. The only other pack I could compare this one to was my old pack, and I didn't know what to think.

Was my pack particularly cruel? Maybe all packs were nice and mine was the exception.

Or maybe all packs were like that and kept trespassers locked up.

Maybe my pack was nice compared to other packs. I shivered at that.

Zack kept glancing at me when he thought I wasn't looking. I ignored it. He was probably wondering why a scared little girl was a rouge. To be honest, I was wondering that too.

What was I doing here? I probably had a better chance of living with my abusive pack than I did out in the wild.

I had been so engrossed in my thoughts that I hadn't noticed we had arrived at our destination. I gasped.

It was HUGE. It could probably hold 300 wolves easily. I gaped with my jaw on the floor until a voice interrupted my gawking.

"Angel, were here. Just follow me up the stairs to my office." He said softly. "Men, you may leave now." The four wolves who escorted me left with a bow in Mr. Hunky's direction. Then it dawned on me. He was the alpha.

I internally screamed. If I've had a bad experience with packs I've had a worse experience with alphas. This could not get any worse.

Zack's POV

I was extremely nervous for some reason. So nervous I had to call out the big guns.

'Mom?' I called through the mind link.

'Yes honey, what is it?' She answered right away.

'We have a rouge in our custody at the moment.' I said.

'Yes, and?' She asked getting a bit impatient. 'You've dealt with them before.'

'This ones sickly thin and she doesn't look like she can be over 16.'

'Did you say she? I'll be right out.' She said, and I felt her disconnect and I assumed she was on her way to my office.

I led the girl through the pack house, up the stairs and to the huge mahogany door that said ALPHA in gold letters.

I opened the door and motioned her in. She slowly walked up to the chair in front of my large desk. She sat down. I went to my seat.

"It's okay if-" I started.

"I'm sorry, sorry for trespassing, I didn't know where I was. Just please don't hurt me." She rushed out in barely a whisper, tears welling up in her eyes. "I promise I won't bother any other packs ever again, and I'll leave. But if your going to kill me, please do it now."

I was shocked by her outburst. Hearing her angelic voice speak those words startled me though.

"Angel, why would I kill you? And more importantly, why is a young girl like yourself doing wandering around all alone?"

"I-I just though that..." She trailed off.

"Angel, why are you a rouge?" I tried again.

"He-He rejected me and then they-I-but-" she was cut off by a knock at the door that I knew was my mother.

"Come in." I said. I saw my angel visibly shiver. I suppressed a smirk.

My mother walked in, but as soon as she saw my angel, she stopped.

"Goodness gracious, child, your a mess!" My mom bursted.

"Mom..." I said giving her an annoyed look.

"Angel, how old are you?" I decided to try an easier question

"17." She whispered. My eyes widened. She looked too petite to be 17. It was then that I noticed how skinny she was.

Her baggy sweatpants and hoodie hung limply from her body. She looked like she hadn't eaten in days, weeks even. I felt anger boil in me.

"Sweetheart, why don't I clean you up? I can give you some fresh clothes and a shower, maybe even a meal. Then we can have this discussion later." My mom offered. I have her a grateful look when my angel nodded.
