Katt's POV
When I woke up, I had a sudden moment of confusion. Where was I? My bed wasn't supposed to be that soft, my room wasn't supposed to be that beautiful. After a quick moment of panic, I realized. I wasn't in hell anymore. I was at home. That word never felt so right, but it was the truth. I had a home now. And people liked me, and respected me. The irony was so great, I laughed out loud. I had never been so happy.
I sat up and walked into the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and saw my eyes: my eyes that no longer looked engulfed in loneliness. They still had a tinge of sadness, of brokenness. But I was happier than I had been in such a long time; it was amazing, breath-taking.
Beautiful.
I didn't care that I had just left behind everything I had ever known and everything I was supposed to have; no, I didn't care. I was happy. That was something that I wouldn't give up for anything. I was living in a whole new world.
I stepped into the shower and felt the warm water cascade down my body. It was heavenly, amazing. I couldn't believe something as simple as a shower could feel so good.
I washed my hair and body before I stepped out. Then I stepped to the sink and brushed my teeth and washed my face. It felt good to be clean.
When I walked back I to my room, the first thought that came to my head was what will I wear? But then I remembered Abby's visit last night and walked into my closet, which was now almost half filled with Ally's clothes. I silently thanked her as I slipped on a pair of leggings and a T-shirt from a concert for some band called Linkin Park.
As I stepped out of the closet, I sank on to my bed and stared at the ceiling, realizing that I had nothing to do. To normal people (werewolves, whatever) this may be a normal feeling but to me it was foreign. At this time I would be -- Wait. What time is it?
I opened the shades on the window in my room to see the sun shining high and bright in the sky. It was at least 11.
At that time I would be cleaning, budgeting, and all of the other crap people had me do for them. But now I had no idea what to do. Then my stomach decided to answer the question for me by growling.
And it hit me.
I could eat.
That's all it took for me to bolt down the stairs to the kitchen.

Zack's POV
I was in the middle of cooking breakfast when Katt ran down the stairs and into the kitchen. When she stopped she was panting and leaned over. It was adorable.
Wait. Hold up. Alpha Zack Knight does not use the word adorable.
Except it was true. Her beautiful hair was disheveled and she looked flustered.
When she noticed that she held everyone's attention (everyone being me, my mom, my dad, and a couple of other pack members) she blushed.
"Uhm..." she started, looking down. "Can I have some-some food?" she looked up at me hopefully. And I realized. We hadn't actually fed her!
"Of course you can!" my mom said. "Zack, throw in a couple extra eggs and a pieces of bacon for Katt here, will you?" She phrased it like a question, but I knew better. It was an order.
I nodded and obeyed. While I put another egg and two more pieces of bacon on to cook I heard a chair scrape and I assumed Katt had sat down.
"So..." I heard Danny, my best friend start. "What's your name beautiful?" I almost growled at the tone of his voice. Katt wasn't going to be another one of his 'conquests'. She deserved more than that. And she'd been through too much to have to deal with him. But I stayed quiet.
