Here are advantages of the hijab I got off the internet, it's very beautiful and inspiring :)
1. You please Allah and you get a reward.
2. It is Allah's protection of your natural beauty. You are to precious to be "on display" for each man to see.
3. It is Allahs perservation of your chastity.
4. Allah purifies your heart and mind through the hijab.
5. Allah beautifies you inner and outer contenance with the hijab
6. Allah defines your femininity through the hijab. Allah wants you to be respected by others and for you to respect yourself.
7. Allah raises your dignity through the hijab- when a stranger looks at you he respects you because he sees you respect yourself.
8. Allah protects your honor 100% through your hijab. Men do not approach, gaze or speak to you in a sensual way.
9. Allah gives you nobility through the hijab. You are noble not degraded becuase you are covered not naked.
10. Allah demonstrates your equality as a Muslim women through your hijab. Your Lord bestows upon you equal worth as your male counterpart & gives you a host of beautiful rights and liberties

Men and women are completely different. You hear non Muslims complaining and asking "Why aren't Muslim men wearing the hijab and abaya like the Muslim women? This is a male dominated religion". Well, that is my point. Why would someone want men to dress like a woman when we're physically so different? Of course you see the Muslim men in Saudi wearing a thobe and something to cover their head, but not every Muslim men wear that. A woman has the capability to beautify herself with makeup and styling their hair and wearing jewelries and smelling good. We have more to cover because we have more things to 'show' than men do. If a man covers his chest with a scarf, what good would that do to him? He's already flat, there's nothing to tempt you lolol. Yes, there are other things about men that appear beautiful to us women, like their face, eyes, hair, smile etc. But that's why men have their OWN kind of hijab, which is their beard. Now, can a woman grow a beard? Heck no! And even if you're a woman that can, it's best if you don't cause you're not trying to be like a man. Pretty much my point is, we are very different although we can accomplish what the opposite gender can do (i.e women can work; a man can cook) but physically we are different and that's not something we can change (Don't even think about plastic surgery lol). So both genders do have their own form of hijab and protection just in a different way. Just because a Muslim man doesn't wear a headscarf, doesn't mean he isn't wearing a hijab, it means he's not trying to be a girl lol and that his hijab is his beard.

What is hijab? Hijab is head cover which Muslim girls wear. The reason Muslim Girls cover is so that we have modesty. We also cover because Allah says in the Quran to cover. Just like how a shell protects the beautiful pearl inside, the hijab protects us.
For example, in the media it shows girls like Victoria's Secret models and actresses who wear clothes that are so revealing and make many guys want them and they get paid for showing their bodies. If you walk in the street with the shortest shorts and tightest shirt you'll definetly attract attention from men but, they would only want you most of the time for one thing. But, for Muslim girls they guys don't know what's underneath that cloth, people will know you for your personality, so your personality out shines your beauty. Now if you see a girl who is cover from head to toe except her face sometimes and hands, with loose clothing, you will be respected. The guys and men will know that you aren't for show and that you have modesty and that you're innocent.
So Allah says we should cover to protect ourselves. When we cover it catches many people's attention wondering why we wear that, and if we are oppressed. The truth is we are not oppressed, it's our choice. Allah said to wear it but, he didn't force us. We have a right to choose if we want to. In some Muslim countries like Iran that isn't the case. They force the women and girls to wear it and maybe sometimes kill them if they don't , it even happens in America and other parts of the world. That isn't right they are not practising Islam like that. They shouldn't kill or force them.
It makes many people confused and sometimes people don't like Islam and some leave Islam because they wonder if Islam is peaceful, why all this violence? So we have to look closely and see if they are making their own rules and not following Islam, and are they adding their cultural into it. Most of the time it's really culture. Like in Saudi Arabia, where they say women can't drive, that's their culture not religion so don't get confused.
Also, when you see a Muslim girl with tight clothes and a lot of make up, don't think that's the right way to dress, it really isn't and may Allah guide them. You'll see that alot in the Western Countries.
Another thing about the hijab is you feel comfortable. No tight clothes, too much make up, and having many eyes following you. You have loose fitting clothes and you feel like you are closer to Allah and protected, just like how a thorn protects a rose, the hijab protects us and our beauty. So hijab is a wonderful thing, it's not a oppression.
