CHAPTER 5 - The Ultimate Box

Ashton's POV

I looked at the view in front of me as I sip my Gatorade and wipe myself with a towel. I jogged for 30 minutes around the park to make me stay fit at least.

I looked at my watch and it's already 6 am. I wonder why Jenny's not awake yet. She should be awake by now but it's not.

I drank it all up my Gatorade and decided to take a shower. Maybe Jenny will be awake once I finish. She was exhausted yesterday and I can't blame her.

Actually, she's doing a great job for a PA. You can't tell that it's her first time because she acts like a pro.

And I guess there is no need to fire her.

I went to my room then to the bathroom immediately. I removed my clothes and went straight to open the shower and soak myself in it.

As the water ran down my body, I thought about what Jenny have told me yesterday. It was about Pete being a gay. I mean, that was hilarious!

I never thought that Pete – my partner in crime – is a gay.

He was with me since I started my celebrity career. He have been served as my PA when my supposed to be PAs are not doing their job. They squeal there and here. It was annoying.

But Jenny was different. She never squeal there or here. She took this job seriously and it's very admirable – but not in a romantic way. That's what I like.

I snapped back from my reverie and I got out from the bathroom once I finished. I grabbed the towel and wrapped it around my waist.

I glanced at the wall clock. It's 6:45! Damn. I have a show at 7:30.

I hurriedly dressed up and called my manager that I will be a bit late. If it's a show, I should be there 30 minutes before the air time.

Once I finished, I went downstairs expecting Jenny to be ready but,.. she's not there.

Where the hell is she?

I'm about to go to her room but a doorbell stopped me. I hastened my pace to open the door revealing a girl.

"Yes?"

She didn't answer so snapped my finger at her shocked face.

"Oh, I'm sorry, sir." She inhaled for a moment. "Okay, I came here for Jenny."

"And you are?"

"I-I'm Michelle. Jenny's best friend."

I nodded my head and I let her in. She was carrying a plastic and I think she bought something from the pharmacy.

"May I ask if where is Jenny's room?"

"It's upstairs. Turn left, second door. And there is no need to be formal."

She gave me a smile and I smiled back. "Thank you." She replied and went upstairs.

"Wait. What's wrong with Jenny anyway? Is she sick?" I can't predict why, so I asked.

Michelle looked at me for a brief moment and pursed her lips. "Uhmm..It's a girl thing. I'm sorry, I can't tell."

She left me and I frowned. A girl thing?

I thought about it for a second and eventually gave up. I didn't understand what she just said. I just have to assume that she's sick.

I called Pete to come over here then after a few minutes, he's here.
