Chapter 16: Endless cycle of loving.

[Lucy P.O.V]

I had enough of being depressed. I decided to stop being sad. Reality is harsh, I've learnt.

He held up my chin to face him. I looked into his eyes. What happened to the warm eyes? What happened to his bright smile? How did he managed to cover all his desires up? Why was his love so convincing? Why was I tricked again and again?

I hated myself for trusting. I shouldn't have trusted a random Vampire that appeared at my bed. Obviously he had ulterior motives.

I want to go home. I want to lie on my bed and forget about all these. I really really want to escape reality.

"You'll be mine soon, Princess. " Natsu whispered into my ears and I shivered. This isn't right. Natsu isn't like this.

"Please wake up, Natsu. You aren't like this. " I begged him. He narrowed his eyes and rubbed his nose.

"I was always like this. "

"You're lying, Natsu. " I said gently.

"Why aren't you upset or disappointed?" Natsu changed the subject.

"I'm used to this! " I snapped.

"Oh. " He said, "By the way, you're more beautiful than I expected. "

I blushed. Why is he bringing that up now? And what did he mean by 'expected' ?

"I think I've fallen in love with you, princess, " He added.

"Huh?! I th-" I asked, feeling confused. Didn't he said that before...? Or...?

"LUCE! " A loud, familiar voice interrupted me.

The door was kicked opened with such a huge impact that the door was reduced to debris.

Natsu?

THERE ARE TWO NATSU?!!

"Get away from her!" Natsu screamed agitatedly.

"Are you two twins?" I asked.

"No. " Both of them said at the same time.

"I'm the real, original Natsu. " The Natsu who stood at the door claimed.

"He's right, I'm his clone. " The calm Natsu grinned.

"Clone? " I asked.

"The original Natsu's Vampire special ability is cloning. He can make exact copy of himself, his looks, his powers, his strength, his intelligence and everything but the personality. For example, when he makes a clone, the clone would have zero personality, so his brain would be very easy to influence, but it can also depends on the original person intelligence. I, as his clone have equal abilites and power as the original. However, unlike the original Natsu who was dumber, I make full use of the cloning ability by drinking as much human blood as possible. So instead of only just being able to clone myself with limited numbers, I can clone any single person in this world limitless. "

"You shouldn't call Natsu dumb because like what you said, both of your intelligence are the same. " I narrowed my eyes. I don't like this Natsu.

"So you cloned her friend to trick her? " Natsu grabbed himself- I meant his evil clone's shirt.

Wait. So that Levy wasn't the real one?!

"The biggest regret I've ever made in my life is this clone in front of my eyes. Because of you, I never ever dared to use my ability. " Original Natsu shot daggers into his evil clone. This might be the reason why I have never seen Natsu using his Vampire special ability.

"Being influenced so easily by the Rebels so that they could use you, why won't you wake up and stopped hurting people!" Natsu yelled, his face red. I have never seen him so angry before. It kinda scares me.

"Used? " Fake Natsu laughed, "You are the one being used."

Natsu clenched his fists and raised his fists to hit the fake Natsu.

I screamed. Everything went slow motion. I have no idea which is the real Natsu now. Both Natsu are hitting each other with blood splattering all over the place. Its almost funny how none of them are using their ability.

"Natsu! " I yelled. Both turned to look at me. I looked at the fake Levy whose mouth was wide opened. Then, she disappeared.

I feel confused. What in the world is happening?!

Okay, let me arranged my thoughts:

Natsu's Vampire ability is cloning. And one of his clone became evil and ran away from Natsu. So Natsu hates his power because one of his clone is doing evil stuffs.

That Levy-chan that broke my heart wasn't the real one. Which means the real one is still CAPTURED!

My heart almost skipped a beat. I need to save Levy-chan right now.

"Don't bother saving Levy Mcgarden. " Natsu's evil clone smiled cruelly, "She will die in 10 seconds. "

I immediately took off and ran as fast as I could. This was the fastest speed I had ever ran. I wonder why isn't the fake Natsu stopping me. Maybe he thinks I don't know where Levy-chan is. But I know, I've realised where she is when he said 10 seconds. She won't be far away.

5 Seconds...

4 Seconds...

3 Seconds...

2 Seconds left...

"LEVY-CHAN!" I yelled at the top of my lungs and forced the door open.

1 Second left...

"Lu-chan..." She smiled weakly.

"I'm glad to see you one last time."

0 Second left...

I can't lose any more love ones, please... tell me this whole adventure outside the palace was just a dream......

Someone pulled me away.

"NOOO! LEVY-CHAN!" I screamed, tears streaming down my cheeks continuously and my hands were desperately trying to reach for Levy-chan as I struggled to escape someone who was holding me away from the bright light.

Loud explosion sounds filled the room and the room was reduced to debris in a blink of an eye.

"NO! NO! " I choked, "PLEASE, NO MORE DEATHS! I'M BEGGING YOU, DON'T LEAVE ME, LEVY-CHAN! " I cried painfully.

No matter how many times this happened to me, I'll never get used to this. I'll never stop feeling pain and agony of losing a precious friend.

This is the endless cycle of loving someone. It will never stop unless I stop loving anyone.
