Chapter 9: Tikal

Sonic walked out of the library and walked down the halls and found Rebecca sitting in front of the maths class, fiddling with the zippers on her leather jacket.
"Hey, you ok?" Asked Sonic as he sat next to Rebecca.
"Oh hey, yeah I'm fine, I just, I don't know, I just couldn't face Dr Eggman and after I left him I" Rebecca then started to let a tear out.
Sonic then saw Rebecca was in shock and really upset so he lifted his arm and hugged Rebecca as she placed her head on his shoulder.
"Uh, sorry, I just" Rebecca then closed her eyes and just layer there.
"Is ok, I know is hard to face the dangers in your past, but I don't mine, I understand" Softly spoke Sonic as he placed his head on Rebecca's head.
They both just sat there until Rebecca got up and started to rub her eyes.
Sonic then lifted his arm from Rebecca and then they both stood up.
"Hey, thanks for sitting with me Sonic, I really needed that" Smiled Rebecca as she looked at Sonic.
"Don't worry about it, and like I said, it doesn't matter if you get upset, is totally fine" Answered Sonic as he rubbed the back of his neck.
Rebecca and Sonic then looked at each other, and they both started to move closer to each other.
They both then closed there eyes and were and inch away from touching lips, when some one jumped up from behind Rebecca.
"HEY" yelled someone from behind Rebecca and scared them.
"AHH" Screamed Rebecca as she jumped into Sonics arms.
"Amy, what are you doing here?" Asked Sonic as he placed Rebecca down on her feet.
Amy is a pink coloured hedgehog wearing a pink dress and pink boots.
"Oh you know Sonic, I just wanted to see you and, her" Sneakily Said Amy as she looked at Rebecca with evil eyes.
"Oh Amy, we were just, um" Rebecca stumbled over her words because she thought that Amy must of been Sonics girlfriend.
"They were just waiting here for me so I could help them with there Science assignment" Tikal came up behind Sonic and Rebecca while leaning on one of there shoulders.
"Yes, that's exactly what it is" Answered Rebecca as she looked at Tikal.
"Well, let's get going" Quickly said Sonic as they all walked away from Amy.
"Oh ok, I'll see you later baby, I mean Sonic" waved Amy as she walked away the opposite side of Sonic, Rebecca and Tikal.
Tikal, Sonic and Rebecca all started to walk up to the girls and boys change rooms until Tikal stopped walking.
"Now just watch where you two have your little moment, alright" Laughed Tikal trying to make one of them blush. Tikal then started to walk away until Rebecca grabbed onto Tikals shoulder.
"No wait, um you don't happen to have a Chaos Emerald on you, do you?" Asked Rebecca as she and Sonic both looked at each other.
"Um yeah I do, why do you need it?" Questioned Tikal as she pulled out her Chaos Emerald.
"Well is because Bec needs it for something" Answered Sonic as he pointed to Rebecca's necklace which was hiding behind Rebecca's jacket and t-shirt.
Rebecca then pulled out the necklace that showed the necklace that had two lights in the necklace.
"Oh I know what your talking about now, wow Princess Elise chose you, well I guess you can have this, on one condition" Asked Tikal as she held up her Chaos Emerald.
"Ok what is it?" Asked Sonic not sounding happy at what she wants.
"I would like to have a try on Rebecca's Rocket" Answered Tikal as she looked at Rebecca.
"Ok yes, you can have a go at the Rocket" Agreed Rebecca as she looked at the Emerald.
Then Tikal gave Rebecca her emerald that then went into Rebecca's necklace that light up another light.
"Thank you so much Tikal" Thanked Rebecca as she and Sonic went to go find Tails.
"Oh wait, if your looking for all the Chaos Emeralds, Knuckles is at his house, you will find him there" Answered Tikal as she walked away.
Sonic and Rebecca looked at each other and wondered if she heard what they were talking about.
Then Sonic grabbed out his phone and called Shadow.
"Hey Shadow, Tikal told us that you can find Knuckles at his house" Sonic Told Shadow.
Rebecca couldn't hear what Shadow was saying but she believes that Shadow was arguing.
Rebecca turned around and she saw a bright pink flyer on the notice board. Rebecca took a closer look at the flyer, it said,
School dance at the school hall on the 24th of November
Rebecca was starting to get excited because today was the 20th of November, so the dance was in 4 days.
Then Sonic hung up on Shadow and saw that Rebecca was looking at the flyer.
"So, your looking forward to the school dance?" Asked Sonic as he scratched the back of his neck.
"Well, Iv never been to a school dance before, so yes I'm excited" excitedly answered Rebecca as she looked at Sonic.
"So your going ask Amy out?" Asked Rebecca.
"What, no way am I asking her out" quickly answered Sonic.
"Oh I thought she was your girlfriend" Asked Rebecca confused.
"Ha, she just really likes me, I don't like her" Laughed Sonic.
Rebecca then got a text from Blaze saying that they were going to see Knuckles and that Sonic and her should see how Tails is going.
"Hey, how about we see how Tails is?" Asked Rebecca as she pointed to the direction of where the library was.
"Yeah why not" Answered Sonic as he and Rebecca walked side by side to the library.
