"Where have you been? You were supposed to be in the house keeping watch. Damn!" Snake shouted. He was pacing the room and he looked nervous. There were beads of sweat down at the side of his face and down his neck.
"Oppa, I'm sorry. Did anything happen?" Hana became nervous just by watching the leader. He doesn't get giddy very often unless something really bad happened.
"I think we need to pack. I feel something's wrong with the deal."
"Why? What went wrong?"
"I don't know. I just feel it. It was too easy." He started for his room and Hana followed. "You should go and pack, too. The others can follow later."
Hana, knowing how things would go, immediately ran to her room and got the bag that was already prepared under her bed. Because of constant running, she had prepared a bag full of clothes and other necessities in case of emergency...in case of times like this.
In no time, they were in the car and driving out the city.
"How about J-oppa and the others?"
"I've already called J. They'll be following us in a few minutes."
Hana's heart begin to sink. "Not again," she thought. She's tired of running.
"When will we be going back?" She asked.
"I don't know, little girl. Maybe in a month if nothing comes up."
Hana sat in silence. She was asleep when they reached Daejon.
"We'll wait for the others here." Snake parked the car at a small inn just near the road. "Check us in and wait for me inside. Don't open to anyone."
As soon as he saw Hana get in one of the rooms, he got back in the car and drove away.
"This life is just shit." She slumped on the bed and stared at the ceiling. She took out a cigarette and lit it.
Flashes of her short meeting with JB came up and she remembered the paper she tuck in her bra. She took it out and stared at it. "Should I call him? Should I tell him I'd be gone?" But, she didn't. Instead, she crumpled the small piece of paper and threw it on the floor.
"What's this?" Hana wakes up at the sound of Snake and the other boys entering the room. She looks at Snake who was picking up something from the floor.
Shit! It was the paper where JB's number was.
"Just a friend's number."
"Are you snitching on us, little girl?" Snakes voice was suspicious.
"Of course not, Oppa. I just met a friend while I was looking for a job and he gave me his number." Hana was getting nervous now. She knows what happens to snitches and she wouldn't dare to be one.
"Is this the guy we saw last time?" J asked.
"The one at the bar? Is it the one you left bleeding, J?", another guy asked.
"What? What did you do oppa?" Hana sat up from the bed. Bleeding? "What do you mean?"
"Yeah. The pretty guy who didn't have cash on him." They all laughed.
Hana stands up and tries to grab the paper from Snake, but he was too fast for her. "Oh no, little girl. I would be keeping this for the future." She couldn't dare to go against him.
She regretted not being careful with the paper. With that small piece of information, Snake could do lots of bad things. She felt sorry and guilty for JB.
"Why do you keep on checking your phone?" Jackson asked JB one time. It has been weeks and he hasn't received any call or message from Hana yet. He thought maybe she was still mad at him for leaving her seven years ago.
He shook his head at Jackson. "Nothing," he said.
"Hey," Junior came busting in the dorm. "Have you seen the news yet?" He got the remote and turned on the TV.
"An idol was caught meeting up with a drug dealer this morning," the reporter was saying. The screen shows a man and an idol, whose face was covered, in a bar exchanging what looked like a pack of mint and money.
"Pause just right there," JB said. Junior immediately pressed the pause button and the screen froze. The man in the bar handing the pack of mint to the idol looked vaguely familiar. JB went closer to the TV.
"I've seen this man," he said. He tried to remember, although it was dim, it looked like one of the boys that took Hana away when they met in the bar.
He went to his computer and searched for the article there. He zoomed in at the picture of the guy. It was him.
"Is this what Hana's up to?" he thought to himself.
He continued reading the article. Turned out, the man and the idol were caught. Police are digging into the dealer's background. He is known to be part of a gang. A picture of the man's tattoo at the back of his neck was also shown and JB gasped.
"Woah....hyung. I know that tattoo." Bambam said from behind. "Isn't it the same with the girl we saw at the restaurant?"
"Seems like it," Junior was also looking at the screen now.
"Shut up about it," JB told them and immediately turned off the computer before they could see more.
"Do you know her, hyung?" Jackson asked.
"She's a friend. Back in our hometown." He sat on the couch, leaning his head on the arm rest.
"So, is she one of them?" Junior sat beside him, very curious now.
"I don't know. I hope not."
He was already stressed out with Mark's and Trisha's problem. He didn't want to add Hana in. He tried to erase her from his mind. But, from time to time, when he's alone in his room, she comes to his thoughts and he starts worrying again.
JB and the rest of the group had been very busy with their comeback. Mark's back to his happy self again, being able to FINALLY get Trisha back. Their life went back to normal.
"No more dramas," JB elbowed Mark as they got on stage. Mark grinned at him.
After their performance, on there way to the waiting room, a female rookie group approached them.
Eun-ji, the leader of the group smiled at JB. "That was really awesome, Oppa," she said, her cheeks turning red. JB couldn't help but smile back at the pretty girl, earning teases from the boys beside him.
"Was that just Eun-ji, the leader of the new group Babies?" Jackson went up beside JB as they entered their waiting room. "She's really hot in person. I think she has an eye for you." He wiggled his eyebrows at JB and he just rolled his eyes.
"Shut up, Jackson." JB said.
But he glanced at her one more time before closing the door.
