It has been a roller coaster ride for the GOT7 members during the past months. They've been busy with different activities. And to top that, Mark and JB were constantly on the headlines about a girl they were said to be fighting over, Trisha Lee.
JB knew he was gonna lose this fight, so he conceded to Mark. Besides, Mark was who Trisha wanted anyway. He was heart broken at first but slowly went back to his feet as time went by and he saw both of them happy.
JB even helped Mark look for Trisha when she went missing the second time. In one of those nights, JB bumped into an old friend.
At first, he didn't recognize her. She was wearing a really short skirt, sleeveless top and her hair was highlighted pink and green. She had a tattoo on her arm and the back of her neck.
"Hana? Is that you?" He takes the chair beside her at the bar and peer closely at the girl. "It is you."
The intoxicated girl looks up and, realizing who the guy is, smiles. "Jae-bum," she throws her hands around him, almost losing her balance. "Woah," she eyes him from head to foot, gaping, "you've become much more handsome since the last time I saw you. When was that?"
"Seven years? I guess." She really looks different. Compared to her get up now, she was the nerdy type, you could say. She used to wear very thick glasses, her hair was always tied in a bun, and she never wanted to wear mini skirts. She was quite pretty before, she just didn't know it. JB actually fell head over heels on her but kept his distance as not to destroy their friendship. They were like two peas in a pod, inseparable. School work, weekend activities, holidays - you name it - where one is, the other follows.
"Wow! That long, huh?" She says taking another gulp of her drink. "What are you doing here? I mean, aren't you idols not allowed to go to these kinds of places?"
"Yeah. Just looking for a friend. Maybe you've seen her," JB takes a picture of Trisha out from his inner jacket pocket and shows it to her.
"Your girlfriend?"
"Nah..."
"I haven't seen her, sorry. Anyway, I gotta get going," she looks around the crowd of people coming in and her face becomes serious.
"Oh...hey, can I have your number? Maybe we could hang out sometime. You know, catch up with the years?"
"Uhmmm..." she hesitates as the group who just entered eyes her. "I really have to go, sorry."
"Hana...hey..." JB catches her arm.
"Let go of her, punk," One of the boys from the group takes a hold of JB's hand and pushes him away. Hana immediately stops the guy from attacking JB, putting his hand on his chest and whispering something.
The guy takes her hand and drags her out the bar. JB tries to follow, but another member of their group stops him. He lands a fist on JB's nose and follows the rest outside.
JB feels warm stuff coming out of his nose as he staggers to get up. The bartender just hands him a napkin to wipe the blood off. "If I were you, I'd just get going. You don't want to be entangled with those kinds of gangs."
"Gang?" JB asks.
"I heard they're a big group. The first guy earlier - I think that's their leader."
"What happened to Hana that she's now in a gang? What made her come to Seoul in the first place?" JB asks himself.
JB reaches for his wallet at the back of his pants, but it's not there. He searches in all his pockets, even under the chair where he's sitting.
"They got you, huh?" The bartender smirks.
"What?"
"You're just one of their many victims. When you come to places like this, you have to make sure you put your wallet, or any valuable item you have in your front pocket."
"Shit," JB puts his hand on his sore nose.
"JB-hyung!" Jackson meets him at the door as JB enters their apartment. His smile turns to worry, "What the eff happened to you, hyung? Did Mark-hyung get back at yah?"
"It's nothing," JB says. "Is Mark home yet?"
"No, I don't think he would be coming home again, tonight. He's got his backpack with him." Jackson sits on the couch in their living room, looking more worried. "Hyung, we need to do something. I think Mark-hyung's going crazy."
"Let's just help him for now. That's the least we could do." JB heads to his room and thankfully, Youngjae is already asleep. He slowly takes off his jacket and lay on the bed.
He stares at the ceiling with his arm propped under his head. He starts thinking of Hana. "She looks like she's been through a lot." He tells himself.
"You're gonna be ok, right?" JB's arms were around a sobbing Hana. "I'll call you often."
"I thought you said we're gonna go to high school together?"
"I know. I'm sorry I have to break that promise. I've been given an opportunity to train under a big company, I can't lose this chance."
"I hope you succeed then." Without even a 'goodbye', Hana runs off under the rain.
That was the last time he saw her.
